Thanks, SELL, I've sussed it now. Slide in, push hard and then down, lock in place. Worked fine today.Laughing

Now here is my problem, NTH, how does my doctor know which flu jab to give me, when there is currently no evidence as to which strain of the virus will be prevalent this year? MOH got hers two days ago and has since gone down with the flu, the symptons are
distressing.  Mind you I am not very good at nursing so that probably doesn't help her situation either.

We've had ours yesterday and apart from feelig where the injection wnt in we've no adverse reaction. So I think our doctors know just the right jab to give.

NICE makes the flu jab strain decision based upon best evidence at the time. Sometimes it goes totally wrong but in order to have sufficient stocks a decision has to be made

    Who said best guess?

They offered me an extra jjab this year when I had my flu jab.  I think the nuse said it was a new jab that I ncluded sepsis?  I took them up on their kind offer!

    David

David, I had a second jab which was against developing Shingles. It's age dependent and all over 60 will be offered it over the next few years, with age groups selected for each year. At £100 per injection it's too expensive for the government to give to
everyone in one year. I took up the offer.

Just been reading through too. Hope Charlie does well with his treatment Millie. I've had a nice few hours at Stourhead...except it was busier than usual for this time of the year, school parties, the lot, quite noisy when I was expecting a tranquil walk. Must be going on everywhere. Wink

Lovely place to visit, but isn't it alway busy this time of year with the trees in their full Autumn colours. Must be great to see. Waiting to hear the Head Gardners description of the place which they have on Radio 4's PM programme this time of the year.

Write your comments here...must remember to make sure that the detachable tow ball is not under everything when you need to fit it, also the instructions are handy!

Bit cloudy but dry this morning. Got van out early and all loaded up. Set off before 11:00 and got to our CL at Penrith just after 12:00. Our first time on this site after the third attempt. Had choise of pitches and managed to book a couple of extra nights.
Super views off all pitches down to the fells above Ullswater. Happy

Having survived the trauma of the French schoolchildren we are now nicely ensconced back in Blighty with a beer to keep us company. Off to a cl Worcestershire tomorrow. Keep putting off going home. Root canal treatment and new window replacement await. Dental
treatment might be less painful.Foot in Mouth

I had the shingles jab when I turned 70. I wish I had never bothered. Ever since I keep coming out in little itchy spots, not many at one time but just one or two in odd places ( no not that odd!!). I know it was a live vaccine and the last time I saw the
practice nurse I mentioned it she said something rather interesting about it being a "live weekly" vaccine. Does that mean it renews itself weekly? I know I should have asked and when I go for the flu jab I will.

We managed to find our way to the temporary club site by the NEC. It was well-signposted! We arrived at 15:30 and got pitched by 16:00. For the first time in ages, we got an early night. It was heaven not to have to stay up until 10 p.m. doing deliveries!

I just got up to make a pot of tea and decided to catch up with the posting on here whilst drinking tea!

It's been lovely weather, think I would have preferred bring in Norfolk today, rather than at the NEC. Undecided

Very tiring day at the NEC, looked at loads of caravans, but didnt part with any money!  None of them really ticked
all the boxes for us, although there were a couple we quite liked.

Write your comments here...Thanks H&T. Yes, it was a great day out. We got the shuttle bus there and back from the campsite. Were you there this afternoon? I remember you saying that you planned to be there but couldn't get there until the afternoon. We
got there soon after 10 a.m. when it opened.  We saw the Caravan Club stand where they were doing a talk about cls. We also saw the Camping and Caravanning show about world tours.

No problems, SELL, thanks for asking. I kept it at about 50 on cruise control on the motorway and averaged about 24 mpg which I didn't think was too bad for a first run out with the van, and going over Shap too.

There are very seldom any that tick ALL the boxes, we find. Are you going to follow up on alternatives to those that you quite liked, then?

We may take a closer look at the Quaser with the transverse fixed bed, one of the dealers offered us a very good trade in price.
