I haven't walked up there for awhile, last time it was a music session in the marquee. Everywhere covered in fog this morning but I might persuade OH to go to Stourhead for a walk around now the sun is coming out.

Our lovely old cat Charlie was kept in at the vets last night.  They have just rung to say he is doing better and after rehydration is beginning to eat.  They will keep him in another night to make sure that he keeps eating.  Fingers crossed.  (Willl we
ever be able to afford to go away againSurprised)

    Good to hear Smile

Not exactly cheap are they Millie, Cassie had a nasty red rash under her rear leg so off to the vets we go, ointment and tablets came to £78. That was a 10 minute consultation and would probably have cleared on its own, but we take no chances Smile

Absolutely Dave.  Charle hadn't eaten for 3 days and as he is getting older and has hyderthyroidism we took no chances and took him to the vets on Friday who gave him some medication to try and stimulate his apppetite but no good so back to the vets again.
They are all worth it. (I thinkUndecided.  We haven't had the bill yet!).  Glad Cassie is OK.

Had a lovely day with the boys,  didn't spend too much in IKEA! Had a lovely walk round Caldicot Lake in the sunshine. Enjoyed watching the sailors out on the water.

Does that mean you didn't get anything? Glad you had a good day out with the boys. We've not visited the MK one, but will do some time, no doubt!Yell

Thanks Nellie,Only bought a couple of small things, this time.

Like the MK Ikea easy to find and lots of parking, huge Asda next door too.

Really hope Charlie is on the mend, and hope the vets bill isn't too huge.

I've just made an appointment at the opticians today for later this week, always very expensive, as always seem to need new glasses.

Stuck on the St.Malo to Portsmouth ferry with not 1, not 2 but 3 coachloads of very excitable French schoolchildren. Nothing wrong with them but they have definitely lost the noise control button.  Might retire back to the sanctuary of the day cabin in a
    few moments.

Just been reading through too. Hope Charlie does well with his treatment Millie. I've had a nice few hours at Stourhead...except it was busier than usual for this time of the year, school parties, the lot, quite noisy when I was expecting a tranquil walk.
Must be going on everywhere. Wink

Been busy putting everything away, ended up more washing as OH had squirreled things away Yell

OH went to Glasgow for his MRI scan on his shoulder and elbow today, so here's hoping we now find out what the problem is.

Its been another beautiful day today, was frost on the cars this morning but the sun came out,  its been chilly but nice. Trees are turning all lovely colours, wish we could go away in the van just now but will have to wait, 1, its half term up here and
2, we have a new shed coming on Thursday so all its contents are on our side decking. OH and BIL have now dismantled the old one ready to go to the skip. Provided its dry tomorrow I will have to get into the garden and do a bit of workFrown
