Yet another fine day, wonder how long it will last? Hopefully next week will be similar as we intend setting off on Monday, all being well.

Spent the morning cleaning the outside of the caravan, and, after putting all the gear we carry into the new car spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to work out how to attached the detachable tow-bar. Suceeded in the end but I'm glad that I'd not
left it until just before heading off with the caravan. Hopefully with practice it will fit easier next time!!

NTH when i got mine i didnt have a problem attaching the towbar, but could not get if off after arriving on site, agree though after a few attempts it is now easy.

I had a Truma detachable fitted to my last car and had just about got the knack of fitting it when we changed cars. I orderered another Truma but the fitter was unable to get one. He fitted a Tow True one to the new car. It's a totally different fit and
I still haven't quite got the hang of it but I'm getting there. It's a little bit easier each time.

We finished our breakfast about an hour and a half ago. It was cereal for breakfast this morning followed by brown bread toast with Bertolli spread and marmalade. We'll be having lunch in about an hour so that we can finish it in time before we're due to start work.

On the whole it's been a fairly quiet week at work which has suited me after the hectic weekend. Less deliveries mean less earnings but I'm not too bothered about that at the moment, having just received my four weekly state pension yesterday. Also it has given us more time to carry out caravanning tasks. We took down the sides and front of the awning yesterday so it was much cooler sitting out in the afternoon.

We're starting to get ready for our trip to the NEC show on Monday.

Been to a gym for first time ever! Our local leisure centre runs an 'Evergreen session' for Over 50s and for £4.50 we can have swimming, aquasise(!), aerobics, sauna/steam room, full access to gym and various instruments of torture, badminton, cycle room
etc anytime from 8:30 am until 2 pm - actually it was fun and will definitely do again.

Called Anglian Water out today. Apparently there is a blockage in the sewer someway up the road and they need to get 'the tanker boys' out. I hope they get it sorted out soon as it is not very pleasant round here at the moment.Surprised

Friends of ours tried the Concierge site, I wasn't tempted as basically most of us have got decent vans which form our holiday accommodation and the rest is usually good enough. Wink

Arrived home from work to find OH had all the caravan heater in bits Surprised the fan had stopped working, we assumed it was just the
fuse, but turned out to be a dodgy connection on the circuit board. All fixed now so we should be okay now for our autumn /winter trips. Happy

I often say that if you have a caravan or motorhome you need someone in the family who is practical or an engineer who can think through problems and put them right. Well done to your OH. Mr H often says he likes the problems and the challange of putting
them right. I could do without them myself.Undecided

Another tough day on the beach and a dip in the Med. Not being able to drive ATM is certainly getting my steps up towards the magical Ten thousand a day. First thing we do when back at the apartment though is stick the aircon on and jump in the shower. Nice
meal of cannelone and the remainder of a bottle of red on the balcony tonight.

Lovely day here today, been quite sunny all week.

OH is just about finished with all the washing after our 4 weeks away........there was a lot of muttering!!

Two  of DD's best friends from Uni are  getting married next weekend (15th), DD is a bridesmaid, and she is making the cake, so she is a bit "frazzled" right now as she also has a lot going on at work.

    She makes fantastic cakes!

I have made them a traditional quaich for the ceremony, plus am working on 12 "wood slices" which will be used under the table centre flowers.  Already made their wedding gift, a wide but shallow elm dish, just need to make a box for it and wrap it, and OH will get a card.

We are invited to the evening reception, so have booked a B&B nearby, looking forward to it.

OH is busy altering some curtains (2 pairs + 1 curtain) for son and D-I-L, shortening and putting on curtain tape.  D-I-L does not sew!

Did think about that MM, but would nulify the reason, and cost, of getting one. It's a Volvo's own one, papgeno, but I think that I'm getting the hang of it now. Will give it another try tomorrow, and hope it's getting easier.
