Another fine day weather wise. Visit to the bank and a bit of shopping this morning then, after lunch, cleared out and clean the inside of the car for tomorrow's last trip in it (hopefully).Laughing

Glad you had a good time at Stamford. Have you anything else planned for this year, yet?

Cornwall at the end of the month, and Derbyshire to meet up with youngest son and his girlfriend in December.

Write your comments here...Best of luck, NTH. You deserve a medal for patience.

Suggest you take the scenic route back home via Aberdeen so that you get the necessary miles on the clock before setting off again.

The day seemed to increase in pace the longer it went on.

Had a nice lie in, then went for some fuel, coffee back at van and made lunch and prepared things for tea. Then Mrs WN decided we should drive to Bracieux, about 20 miles away  to do a cycle for a couple of hours and check out the possible route north westward
for Thursday which on the way home turned out to be Wednesday,so quick repacking of car after taking awning down and sorting bikes out, cooking tea, having a shower etc etc.

Decided on a different route tomorrow as to many big speed bumps in first 30 miles (11). Fingers crossed that new route is better.

    The joys of caravanning.

Might not get that far, but am going through to Southport to show to daughter who's working there this week, before she heads off abroad again.

By the sound of it you've been pretty busy. Do you have to forfeit a night's booking by leaving early, or are you just paying by the day? Have a safe trip when you head off.

Hello nellie, we doing ok.  Caught up with jobs at home, including mother's garden
Happy.  Just planning a trip to Northwest to visit an elderly uncle who's moved from London to Lytham St Annes (into residential home).  So
in a effort to give motorhome a run out we'll stay for at least a week and explore, don't know the area at all, and visit for a couple of days either end of the trip.

Hope you're new car arrives very soon and is up to your expectations.  I see you mention a Blackpool stay - we are reckoning on calling in there ourselves, dates still very fluid.  But I do want to see the lights as neither of us have had the pleasure.

We've had 2 days now in the Algonquin Park in Ontario. The weather hasn't been particularly good, but at least it's been mainly dry and we've managed some good walks in the forests. The highlights are the autumn colours and they're just about perfect this
week, mile after mile of yellows, fiery oranges and bright reds and pinks on the maples. If I could work out how to post pictures easily on here I'd do it, but if you want to see for yourself, try googling "Algonquin fall colours". Much more impressive than
my snapshots. We move on tomorrow for our last stop of the tour, up in Blue Mountain village, including an open air mountain gondola ride and a walk over the longest suspension bridge in Ontario ( which Mrs M is particularly looking forward to!) Laughing

Then back to Toronto on Thursday for an overnight flight home. Sad

The dietician told me that any food and drink is acceptable in moderation and with portion control. The only thing that they forbid altogether is smoking. Fortunately I don't smoke!

Tell me to mind my own business if you like Malc, but why did you see a dietician?  Just interested! Smile

We've got up to a lovely sunny morning this morning. I logged into my online banking and was pleasantly surprised to see my state pension on the list of pending transactions for tomorrow as it's only been three weeks since I received my last payment.

Just been in to one of our local primary schools to talk to the children about the church choir, to get some new recruits.  We'll see how many return slips we get and how many difficult choices I have to make....  Going into another local school tomorrow.
     It's my annual visits!

It's been a quiet afternoon so far. It was like that yesterday too. No deliveries to do at all in the afternoon. We had our first call at 18:15 yesterday. After that we only had 3 more to do before we finished for the day. I have to admit that I'm glad of the rest after what was a manic weekend of non-stop deliveries. Perhaps we'll have time to enjoy a cream tea and some chocolate cake in our awning this afternoon!

This time next week we'll be at the NEC show in Birmingham.

    Today - An Inspector Calls

09.30 - 15.30 - but we are still certified (or even certifiable).

And, if posting a picture works, this is a very brief summary of the paperwork needed. Plus of course, checking stock, buildings, land and all the other stuff people son't usually think about.

Moved to Delft today, last stop before ferry tomorrow.  Crikey this trip seems to have passed in a flash.
