Thanks for the good wishes folks. Last night was rainy but today has been quite a nice day. We moved Anna in this morning and into the afternoon. TheN we left her to it - Carol and I went for a lunchtime drink with our sandwiches then we headed back to
the van for an hour. We then popped down to Philps at Hayle for a pasty for tea followed by a quick visit to Asda at Hayle. Then a ride down to Marazion to take the dog for a run on the beach. While we were in Hayle there was some sort of festival going on with a small stage with a folky type of entertainment.
We'll catch up with Anna again tomorrow.
David
Hope Anna has settled in well David and got her party schedule (sorry, of course I meant study schedule) sorted out!
Funny you should mention taking the dog down onto the beach, I was wondering just the other day how Lizzie was! Fully recovered from her health scare I hope!
Best wishes to you all and may see you again when you're down in Cornwall visiting.

Last day at our youngest son's. We've done as much as we can for now, the rest is up to them. We've got 2 big cases to take up the road for them so they have more room in the car. We've decided we are going to have a few days to ourselves before arriving
home, so we are off to York for a few days (the only site we could get in) Thirsk had room but there is a race meet on. The weather looks to be good for the next few days so we are going to 'chill' as they kids say. Nice and sunny here in Penistone at the
moment, makes a change as its usually raining when we are here.Bakers2 can't believe that's your time up and you are on your way home, the time certainly seems to be flying by, glad you had a nice if expensive day yesterday.

Have had 3 lovely days of cycling on Ile de Ré, just off western coast of France. Lovely warm sunshine.
There was a Porsche gathering in one of the small harbour places yesterday. Everyman and his dog seemed to be there. We saw a German car and a large Hobby caravan trying to go up a one way street the wrong way and having to reverse out and around these Porsches
on display. We winced on his behalf and left him and 2 local gendarmes to sort it out. Every tuggers nightmare.0 -

Seemed to have spent most of the day ducking. There is a fire somewhere up the valley from Verbania towards the Dolomites and Swiss water carrying planes have been bouncing off the top of the van before landing on Lake Maggiore to gather water. The Lake
is already 2.5 m lower than normal; I reckon they must have taken another half meter of water!0 -

As the weather was so dire here on Saturday we decided to go to The Cromer Pier show - excellent and really good fun. Totally different day yesterday - wall to wall sunshine. Son, DIL and grandsons visited so we spent the afternoon on the beach, got fish
and chips from thr famous MaryJanes and sat outside the caravan to eat them before they all departed for home.Another beautiful day today.Hope the goodbyes arent to difficult B2 and that you have a good flight home. Enjoy your own bed when you eventually get there.

Thanks Chris. Lizzie seems to be fully recovered now - it's just something we need to keep an eye on, and we really muse be careful what she eats.
Anna has her first introductory lectures and tomorrow they are taking the photographers on a boat trip - I'm guessing Falmouth to Truro and back.

Sounds good David, I expect you'll feel strange leaving Anna behind when you go.
I hope B2 has a safe journey home.
Millie, I wish we'd managed to see the pier show last year, we didn't have long enough to make a booking. We'll have to return!
We're back to building works today, a trip to Bridport later this morning to pick up some blocks (which are in short supply, just managed to find a few to complete a wall.) OH is unloading the M/H after his weekend away in Shropshire, he had a good time meeting up with his former racing car pals. I can now hand back some of the dog walking!

Safe trip home Bakers2, hope the goodbyes aren't to hard.
Millie, we weren't able to get to the pier show back in the summer either, although not sure what we would have done with the dog? We
will be in Norfolk at the end of the week, although this time further north, please save us some good weather.Today is housework and ironing before work, only have a short week so must get it done, and work will be busy too!

Shortly off to collect the van from storage for a few days down on a CL in deepest rural Somerset! And that'll probably be the last trip for this year, sadly. We've got a fortnight in Canada coming up at the end of the month and we'll also make use of the
static down in Cornwall over winter. So that'll be it until February - just got to start planning out 2017's trips now!

,i'll wait till it cools down on hereThink you'll be out of luck for a couple of days, HD, particularly in your neck of the woods. Just seen that weather forecast!

After a cold start this morning, it turned into a hot afternoon. It's still too warm now!
