Just back from a Raclette evening at La Columbiere Camp Site at Neydens, in France (Nr Geneva). A great evening and made so welcome by the owner Jean Bussat. He remembered us from previous visits and spent some time talking about what it was like here
years ago.David

Still really enjoying ourseveswith daughterand grandchildren, not seeing much other hubby as he's working. Think its good we disappear around 6pm every evening, unless we babysit, and do our own thing weekends. Glad we didn't book few days away in south
island. Heavy snow dumps, local lingo, and cold days.in fact we have had two nights of -3 c but glorious sunny days with temp up to12 or 15c. Frost clears from car windows really easily, very soft by 8am. If winters were like this in England, it would be
bliss. We had very cold southerly winds and I've bought myself Merino thermals very nice and cosy they are too!Midwife seen four the last time day today, Plunkett, health visitor equavilent, visited yesterday - head rather large, hips not completely aligned, weight and head not on the same growth lines..... Talk about inspire confidence - not!! Good job not a first
baby or nervous mother otherwise depression and worries . Midwife most reassuring. Still no news in kidney issue hopefully more info on Monday, but we do know referal to hospital is in the pipeline.Visiting the zoo tomorrow

Bakers2 I was wondering how far you were into Winter down there in NZ! Hope you see the start of Spring before returning, you never know we might have one of those lovely Autumns here to keep you going. Like ABM said some Scottish mountain tops have had
a sprinkling of snow this week which seems a bit early! Anyway it's very sunny in Somerset and I'm off out soon, no workmen today and no more mugs of tea to make.Pleased to hear Husky made it to Portland although sorry about the meeting with the rock (well it is Portland and there's a lot of it around...)
Hope you all have a good day.

Cooler today with a nice bit of breeze. Decking's all painted, grass hasn't grown since I cut it last week so took the opportunity to take the dogs off to Trellisick and amble round the woodland walk. Surprisingly quiet down there, not even a queue for the
King Harry Ferry!0 -

Went over to Drover's Hill N/T car park above Chipping Campden this morning. Walked the Cotwold Way along The Mile Drive to Fish Hill and then onto Broadway Tower and beyond to have a picnic lunch overlooking the Vale of Evesham. Back the same way before
driving back to the CL vis Chipping Campden and Broadway Village. The weather was sunny but the wind was quite cool in the shade. Still blowing a bit this evening, but plenty of blue sky to be seen.0 -
Fabulous area, Nellie. The views from there are stunning.
Certainly are... well they would be if you see round all the visitors!! Busy in both Broadway and especially Chipping, but only to be expected
I suppose at this time of the year. Thinks we'll walk from the site tomorrow.0 -

Sunny but a bit cooler today, pegged all the washing out and gave the caravan a quick hoover before work. OH took himself off to the canal to do some fishing, too many narrow boats apparently, so didn't catch anything!!
