We're just getting all our camping equipment together to be packed into the car ready for our two nights away camping with our tent. It's trying to remember all the things we'll need as it's so long ago when we last went camping. The campsite we'll be staying
on is £13 a night including electric. So the two nights away will cost us £26. The equivalent of one days wages at dinnertogo!

It's going to be fun as we'll be working during our camping stay. So it means coming back to the tent, after work, late at night and cooking our dinner on the camping hob!

Rather you than me Malcolm, Undecided your wife deserves a medal! Innocent

Been to Aldi to do the shopping , as we are off to Stamford tomorrow,  Happy stocked up with wine too.  Treated myself to a pair of their
crocks, much cheaper than the real thing! Surprised

Weather very warm and muggy,  but no storms so far.

Car going in tomorrow for the propshaft to be replaced.  Hope that will solve the noise problem we have.  Time is running short before our holiday.  Hope it will be solved in time.

    David

Well - car went in for propshaft yesterday.  No joy!  Still unacceptable noises coming from the car.  Next thing: Transfer box.  Managed to pick up a new transfer box yesterday for under a grand!!!  Expensive, but a bargain!  It goes in Friday for it to
be fitted.  If this doesn't work, goodness knows what next!!  This is getting dangerously near our holiday!  At this stage, I'm beginning to wonder if we'll make it....  Don't cry

    David

That is getting serious, David! Sad

Really hope that the transfer box sorts it out. It's awful when something goes wrong just before a holiday......but often means that everything then goes well, after all the stress.

    Good luck!

Thanks Ian, and Brue for the sympathy.  We seem to be having one of those times when everything seems against us.  Hope things will improve soon.

    David

Write your comments here...Oh David i do feel for you, before we went away everything seemed to go wrong, it was one thing after another. Hopefully everything will get sorted then you will be away and enjoying yourselves. Just think that by the time you
get there France will have dried outWink

    I agree.

But do keep us posted on your camping experience. I for one would like to hear how you get on.......just leave out all your work stuff, eh? Wink

Me, I would just move sites for two nights.

Been and put my cross in the box Smile.  Took my brolly with me but the Gods were benelovent
Happy.  Shower again now.  Had a noisy night, we were in the motorhome, the drumming of the rain lessened the rolls of thunder.  Flooded roads
but got off the grass CL fine.

Catching up on the washing, hoping the forecast is correct for tomorrow, ahead of myself for outdoor drying.

Amazing how the weather can vary so greatly on this small island! We've seen on the news the rain in the SE of England - but it's been another gloriously sunny day here!

Two of our collies had their annual MOTs & boosters at the vets this morning. No problems, thank goodness. We rewarded them with a belated daily run on the beach and have been in the garden this afternoon soaking up the rays!

    Cheers

Wondered down to the polling station after work, put cross in a box, as requested.  Came home loaded the van ready for the off tomorrow,

Keeps going very dark, but no rain yet.

Some of us managed to pre-plan our vote (postal) so we didn't get soaked by torrential rain on the day in question. It was certainly worth doing and allowed us to get away in the van.

Welcime back to uk thanks for bringing your weather .  More heavy showers with thunder and lightening, we've already had June's rain in one night and that doesn't count what came before or us coming now!!!! Were OK, touch wood, but ditches and drains full
wish u had more water butts!

Crich is great isn't it? We want with friends a couple of years back.  Nice enough for ice creams so jealous.

Enjoy your family time, will you have longer with this son?

Not sure I envy your return home - plenty of sorting out to do ?.  Just a couple of weeks til we go was hoping we'd be getting drier so garden slows up.

Now at CC Malvern Hills, arrived yesterday around 15.30.  Good trip, survived the M25 without too much trauma, stopped for lunch at Reading services on M4, no caravan signs so just went in with the HGVs, which was OK.

Had considered staying an extra night at Black Horse Farm till we saw the forecast.  Lovely weather here in Malvern, ground pretty dry, but we had booked a hardstanding anyway.  Site surprisingly busy......keep forgetting it will soon be July.

Today we visited an NT property, hope to do 2 more before we move on.  Visited M&S in Malvern for some supplies, we do miss M&S when we are abroad.

Have reminded  DD that she needs to vote, she has OH's proxy vote to cast.
