Spent a lovely day with the boys, taken out for Sunday Lunch at our local pub. Heard all their news, really nice to catch up with
them both. They were impressed with our new kitchen.0 -
After many diversions we finally managed to cycle to the confluence of the Maine and Loire rivers, the causeway that we usually use along the river maine had overflowed in quite a few places so we had to go around a differant way.
This afternoon we took the trike out for a spin, decent weather does make a differance.
Now all packed up ready for the drive to Caen in the morning.
Safe trip Tammygirl. Glad you had some good weather today.

What a horrible day here. Started raining before 2:00 pm and it hasn't stopped yet. Completed the hoovering and dusting in the van and started
the polishing of the woodwork. With a bit of luck I'll finish it tomorrow, and we're be nearly ready for the off again.I wish I could get, OH to clean the van, it always seems to be my job!

Is that you heading for home then, TG?
We still don't feel able / comfortable going for those really long breaks that you do. Don't know why, we are both retired and the van is there to use.....
..Yes, ferry 08.30 Tuesday morning, it'll be another week before we get home, as we are stopping off to see the boys on the way up. This is the longest we have done so far 11 weeks in total. It's strange a fews ago I was ready for coming home, now I just
want to stay longer. As we won't be coming back over this year (other plans) we wanted to do a long trip, as it worked out with OH being not well for nearly 3 weeks we haven't done what we were going to do, never mind there is always next year. The trouble
with being away this long is it will take me weeks to get the jungle under control, about the same time it will take OH to go through the mail0 -

you can go online and download the manual it states that before towing a heavy trailer you must do 1000km first
Seems to contradict what SELL's just said. Will have to have a look at the manual myself I guess.
Write your comments here...nellie i only checked the towing section of the handbook assumed this would be the place to look for any restrictions, for peace of mind best to ring your dealer they will give you the definate answer.

Ian, like your cycling you need to build up your time away, try 6 weeks and see how you go on. Moving frequently will give you new sites/sights to see

It's pouring with rain here this morning. We had a wet evening yesterday. Once the rain started it got really busy last night and we didn't finish work until nearly 10.30 p.m. It's amazing how it suddenly gets manic as soon as the weather gets bad. When
the sun shines, everyone goes out and no orders. When it rains they stay in and go online to order from us. The other delivery driver was off for the whole weekend so we had to do all the deliveries.0 -

We have the cooker extractor hood to connect up, means drilling big hole in the wall, and some painting then all finished.
Are you staying at Holly Tree Cottage on your way home Tammygirl? We are hoping to get back up that way before the end of the year.

You will always be busier when it rains, people will get their food delivered, that way you get wet rather than them.

Write your comments here...I asked my dealer and he said you can tow straight away but when I downloaded the manual it states you must do 1000 km first, it's on page 302 or 303 depending on which one you download

I'm sure you are right Natasha.
Our garden is quite 'high maintenance' and will be like a jungle after three weeks. I think we need to move somewhere with lower maintenance required.

Swept the chimney with some new brushes we bought, as sweeps are getting so difficult to locate. Did a fairly decent job, at least plenty came down, and not a lot of mess as we managed to contain everything quite well. Now started to VAX the carpets. These
have to be done in stages, as we find the furniture is too heavy to move out of the room these days. Just done the caravan ones and they have come up a treat.0 -

Today I went to a auction (a general sale), and despite my best intentions went over budget bidding for a 1960's Ercol Love Seat. It's very easy to just keep nodding as the price rises.
It's what I wanted though, and with very little TLC will look good for a long time.
It's a good job I went on my own. There was no one to restrain me!

The rain stopped here a couple of hours ago but everything is saturated, hope we all get some better weather soon.
I had to go up to Shepton Mallet this morning all the entrances to Glastonbury are manned, I could see the festival site over the hedges, started to get very busy, lots going on. Don't think I could face being in a tent in the mud but might be tempted in
the motorhome!0 -

Awful morning, heavy rain, then this afternoon totally different, lovely sunshine. Had a visit from a neighbour who moved away just after Christmas, caught up with his news.
