what's that all about.

Did our shopping at a Hyper U yesterday. Treated ourselves to 2 delicious looking vanilla custardy type sponge cakes. You know the type of thing Asda do them for about 99p.

When we got back to the caravan I was just looking at the till receipt, not really checking things but just interested in the prices of the items we had bought. One item was listed as a bag @ 49 cents which confused me a bit.  Checking further this was listed with the cakes we had bought. So it appears we were charged 49 cents extra for a plastic box that was already containing the cakes. I certainly don't think it would have been advisable for us to take them out of the box.

So why did the ticket price on the item not include the packaging?

Never seen that before......and the French often go to town with their packaging - especially in the patisseries
