It depends on the tablet BT, Android or Apple?

Brian, I've recently discovered this works for my tablet (android).

If you want to copy text, tap and hold anywhere in the text. 2 little blue blocks appear and you can drag those around to highlight the text you want to copy. At the top of the page you'll have a tab which says "copy" so tap that.

To paste the words, tap and hold where you want to paste the copied words. A single blue block appears and a tab saying "paste". Now just tap that and.. hey presto, your quote should appear!

Hope that helps, worth practising a few times to get it right. Happy

Thanks Rocky and moulesy for your replies.

It is an android tablet and your explanation works well moulesy. WowSurprised, it surely works well and is very sensitive to the touch,
I've been practising on the tablet while reading your replies on the laptop and I've just turned the whole page blueEmbarassedSurprisedSurprised....

In my experience the Android system is fiddlier to use, Rocky, the Apple way flows easier.Smile

Nellie, on an iPad you tap and hold the text until the black bar appears then tso Select and adjust the blue band to include the text you want to copy. Repeat the process at the spot you want to paste and tap Paste on the black bar.

I'm still using a mouse to highlight, then CC and CV to cut and paste. Don't they have mice any longer?

We have - but as we are still in a period of austerity have decided not to waste money by purchasing a new machine because it is mouseless. On the other hand if I didi buy such a machine it would help to keep money circulating and be ever so slightly inflationary.
