So, less than a fortnight after Georgie Boy's "rabbit out of the hat" budget trick - fuel duty frozen again - we've just seen two price increases around our way and both are now 3p a litre more. Still a lot cheaper than a couple of year's ago. But is this the fuel companies taking advantage by putting their prices up at a convenient time? Call me an old cynic if you like! Wink

(Go on, you know you want to ....! )

We've noticed an increase in fuel prices too.  We could fill up at selected filling stations at less than a pound a litre.  Yesterday, the diesel at Sainsbury's, Tamworth was £1.009 a litre.  Not massive, but other places show a bigger increase.

Well Moulesy, what do you expect? The price of oil rose this week.

Funny how it took months for the drop in oil prices to reach the pumps......

The money grabbing cartel of petrol stations around here never dropped the fuel price below £I.029, it is now £1.069, I won't say what I think of them as I'll be banned. I go to Asda five miles away and fill up both m'home and two twenty litre cans to put
in the car, that way I do make a small profit without giving the money grabbers here a pennyYell...Cool

Oh, that's almost everywhere then, we thought it was just around here as all the holidaymakers are here for the Easter break. Holiday times lots of things go up in Devon. (And the rain tends to come down)

Noticed a 2 pence per Ltr rise in Diesel yesterday at our local filling station.  Fuel prices are definitely on the up.

Find it strange that as oil a barrel goes up its an immediate rise at the pumps , yet the oil hasn't arrived at the pumps.  But when it goes down it takes them ages to reduce it.  Saying the cheaper barrel price oil hasn't arrived yet

    We can't win

Just cannot understand how the Southern region gets fuel at that price 99p. We haven't seen fuel below 104 p all year , now 106.9 ( 107 ) in real terms.

Supermarkets here in north Essex (Colchester area), are £103.9 for Diesel with other retailers as much as £106.9. Diesel is now back to being dearer than petrol but only by a penny in most cases.
