Am I missing something?

So I returned from the NEC last night having enjoyed the show, this morning I went out to my car and noticed that one of my plastic caps that covers the towbar electric points was missing, no real harm done and not expensive to replace unlike the 7 inch
scratch I also seem to have acquired while parked there but apart from the cap I'm obviously missing am I also missing something else because I "lost" one at last year's show as well?

Could be worse, your car's main dealer could have damaged both passenger side doors while they've had it for the past month after they've supposed to have fixed it 3 times ......

Presumably last years was the black cap and this years a grey cap so the dirty rotten scoundrel now has a complete set?

The number of dinks and marks that "appear" on cars these days is a real pain.It makes you think you are wonder if your time trying too keep a car nice Sad.Its usually when you olish a car that you notice all the small marks that were,nt there the last time you polished it.

Agree peter ,I'm considering leaving it as peoples respect for other peoples things seems to have disappeared, they open doors onto yours while your even in the car and don't even see that they have done anything wrong or the need to apologise.

What main dealer have you the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with mm? I think after a month and three attempts and them causing damage I'd be being held by her majesty awaiting trial!

My Discovery has full length side steps and I try to always remember to raise the suspension when I park. Surprising that people complain that they hit their car door against the step when parked adjacent. Their attitude seems to be I am depriving them of
an entitlement to bang against my doors.

Pretty sickening story, how old is the the car?

My Mercs have been as good as gold but it looks like bad news if they do get cranky.

My E280 was 07 and never missed a beat (apart from a new battery) but I traded it in a few months ago with only 67k on the clock, but since 49k of that had actually been towing  I thought  it was time to change. It wasnt an easy decision as I feel sure its
got enormous mileage left  in it  but I dont want to be 1500 miles from home if I found out different.

I sold my last towcar with 180 000 miles on it. I'd still have hooked up & gone anywhere with it. I thought 10 yrs with the same car was enough though.

Up until about ten years ago, it was common to have a bumper strip along car doors to protect against these 'supermarket prangs'. Fashion seems to have prevailed over utility.
