I have never had too much of a say in colour choice. I have hold of the reins in vehicle and engine choice though. I would object to pink though.

We've had most colours, blues, white, grey, reds, fawn, yellow, silver but never green. Was told by a friend who owned a body shop that he repaired more green cars than any other colour, so we always avoid that colour.Laughing

I got offered a passion red with an antelope interior nice to look at but very impractical! Settled for silver with a black interior!

In my opening I was speaking of the mid 60's Triumph colours but couldnt remember the red versions.  Damson & Cream sounds about right.  Any corrections?

That's interesting, I wonder why? My green car is currently off the road - two cracked tyres, tracking out and missing suspension spring - but I blame the potholes rather than the colour...

Our last three tow cars have been black....looks great on a big 4x4.......cannot understand the popularity of white, having owned two white cars many years ago and them always looking dirty.

I have a classic Mercedes that is white and it looks great when it is clean although it gets very dirty after a couple of trips out, although I only ever use it in the summer and it is garaged al the time so it is usually spotlessly clean, don't think I
would like to have an everyday car that is white though

Black shows the dirt more than white IMO. I've had a few white cars over the years. The Kuga is my first black one and I wouldn't have black from choice even though it looks smart when freshly polished.

This was many years ago, and there aren't that many green cars around these days, so I guess that the most accident prone cars are no longer green. Poor chap has passed away so I'm not in a position to ask him which clolour now is most frequently in for
    a repair.Sad

I bet its Silver, - or Black!  Most cars are,  so simple percentages will apply!

Our new ( to us) Sorrento 13 plate is........... White, I would never order white new but, it had the spec I wanted, only 14000 miles and a great price to change from the smax. The colour has grown on me and quite like it now after 4 months, it does look
good on the front of the white caravan though

Once got to the dizzy heights where I could specify the colour of my new company car. So black it was - only ever looked good after a wash and polish.

A Honda CRV Mk1 we had was in metallic gold, You only realised it was dirty when you washed it and it came up several shades lighter, but never appeared dirty.

Shades of white, black, grey and silver make up over 70% of the worlds car output Happy.Red,blue and brown/beige account for 6 to 9% and all other colours less than 5%.
