Success! What's been good for you today?

Today we've had two 'successes'.  We bought a Dyson in 2013 and a week ago I complained that the suction had dropped and it wasn't efficient.  Today an engineer called and replaced the hose, and replaced the whole front brush assembly - free of charge because it was still within the five year guarantee.  He left the old hose and the old brush!

Last week we had a new electric shower delivered by B and Q and then when OH had got it all but fitted, on Thursday, discovered that within the unit a seal was out of place, and it leaked badly.  That's been replaced this morning with a new one delivered to the door - and they don't appear to want the old one back.  We were told the courier would pick up the old one, but he wasn't interested - so we may have one for spare parts.

Trouble is, with this amount of 'success', we'll soon have a garage full of things which almost work, but not quite.  We've already got a Vax Power Washer that almost works, but leaks a bit............... which was replaced with a brand new one last year!

I'm still waiting for a call from Rayware about the seals on my Kilner jars, which after using them, have deteriorated so that they look like some strange fungus growth has sprung up all over the seals!  Maybe we'll have a phone call to say 'we're replacing them free of charge................ but please keep the old ones'!

Sold a couple of items on Ebay for a profit!   (just a couple of items of clothing which I'd bought on Ebay which didn't fit on arrival) but sold for more than I paid - result!

cycled/walked to the Devils Dyke from Brighton site.....probably the windiest day weve ever been out in.....walking up the hill a real struggle....

return leg, the wind off the sea funnelling up west st almost prevented even walking in a southerly direction to reach the prom....

luckily, the last mile along the prom nearly broke all speed limitsWink

Depends which you have, some can be planted now or later.  Even my old pals seem to think I plant them earlier, but I always have a good crop in the summer, that is, if it gets any sunnierHappy

Today is Tuesday.  Me and OH when to a seminar at the MRI in Manchester and had nurses and patients talking about renal failure and donors.  Very interesting as we managed to talk to people who had had dialysis and decided what is best for OH to useHappy
