I need to get myself a Bracelet but I would like it to look nice too. (May have to be leather or something like that as metals and me are not to good)   Anyone got one or recommend where to get one from.  I see places on web but have no idea how good the
quality etc will be.  All help appreciated.

That's an interesting question as a friend of ours always wore a rubber band type thing which didn't look very good! (Although it showed up quite well.) Could you buy a medic alert tag as a single charm and attach it to a bracelet of your own choice? I think there are some designer jewellry medic alerts web sites out there.Smile

Try this. I've found their products to be very good. Do a dummy order and you'll find offers appear at the checkout.

Not a fan of jewellery for myself, probably because of work restrictions, So have a card that fits neatly into my wallet window.

I wear a medical alert and my current one was from Universal Medical mentioned by Tinwheeler above. It has a look of a peice of jewellery whilst being obvious to a paramedic or other medically trained person. It is masculine in style but obviously there
are plenty of alternatives for both sexes. My previous two bracelets were from MedicAlert - a registered charity. These were OK although the first one was enamelled and this lifted quite quickly. The second one lasted ages and I only replaced it because I
had to change a contact number.

I changed to Universal Medical because they had better looking alternatives and you could get more engraving on it so I could include more important information.

I wear it all the time, it never leaves my wrist. I would not want to rely only on a card in my wallet. Wallets can go astray - especially in scenario when a medical alert might be needed. I do have a card too. My bracelet carries basic important information
and refers to the card for more details on drugs etc.

Having said all this, mine is silver so this isn't much help to the OP if metals are out. I am not sure what is available in non-metals. However, I found Universal Medical provided a good service and my bracelet is of excellent quality. I hope that might
    help a little.

Even though the OP has ordered something I think there is information out there useful to others.  I have bought medical ID things from various companies my least favourite the plastic one Which now lives round the water container in my car!    The dog tag
type one I keep on my ignition key is good as I don't go many places without my car.  One of my dogs has the capsule type with my ICE number and medical alert as well as my mobile number.  Having had a serious scare with a family member in a chain saw disaster
not having his penicillin allergy known by his sisters was quite a wake up call for us.  The man he was working with only knew the number of his ex wife (my daughter) who got the somewhat awkward job of getting his sisters to his bedside!  Then they had to
really search to find his business contacts.  Making us all very aware that things should be organized.  He did survive but the penicillin nearly cost him his life never mind the head injury.

Are you sure it's not just a set of 'worry beads'?
