How long will my Safefill last off grid?
I know this is a bit...how long is a peace of string...but I am intereste in other experiences. We are going away for our first fortnights holiday in our caravan in coming weeks. We wondered if our 7,5kg Safefill will last the fortnight (not a tragedy
if not as the map says there is a refiller not too far away.) There are only two of us and we will be using the gas for fridge, water heating and cooking. I wondered if other folks had any idea how long their Safefill bottles last when not on EHU.

I was away for 13 days Tracey in Wales not so long ago. I took my 7.5kg Safefill. We ran the fridge, cooker and heated the water with gas. It lasted about 10 days. (We also cooked a couple of meals on the BBQ) Hope that helps. Mind you, with the weather at the moment you could possibly be running the heating as well!

Thanks Merve, that's helpful. We are at Whitstable for our first week and there is a site on the safefill map not to far away so I think I will plan a top up trip at the end of the first week. Heating.....noo....Just back from North Yorks Moors and didn't
need heating. We are tough up North .0 -
The beauty of Safefill Tracey is that you can keep an eye on it, as you say, if there is a filling point close to site then you don't have any worries. One refill after a week and another at the end of your stay will set you up nicely for your next trip. And
only cost you around twelve pounds0 -
Makes me wonder how we manage to use so much!! We get through about 0.7KG/day, but then there are 5 of us, so will use a bit more for water heating etc... and I guess it depends how cold you have the fridge running!

Yep, having burnt my way through the best part of 2 x 7KG Calor cylinders, I bought a 10KG Safefill, just a shame there isn't a closer filling place to me, as it is a bit of a trek to fill up!

Fill up on route next time out dennisps, or when returning home. Do you have the safafill app? ..

Filling points are becoming more numerous by the week. Retailers are begining to realise that Safefill and the like is not going to go away and they are going to miss out on a huge revenue stream if they continue to be ignorant about Safefill. The pressure
of people filling cylinders will tell in the end- it already is doing!0
