Orange electrical cable

Ours at 2.5 years old has also turned yellow. However, the cable that came with the first van, now 11 years old, is still orange. They both get used the same amount dept on distance to EHU, as I shortened the old cable to give me a 10 m length. I suspect
some change in the quality or composition of the plastic.
