Over the years I have been using CT I have seen many complaints, some have been made repeatedly and strike a cord with quite a few posters. Members’ requirements seem to be changing as is the technology employed in pursuing our hobby. The list below is not exhaustive but I think generally reflects the posts I have seen.

a)      Not enough economy pitches especially with hard standing

b)      We should be able to book hard standing

c)      We should  be able to pitch whatever way round we like

d)     Where access allows abolish arrival times

e)      We should be able to reserve a pitch

f)       We should have pitches with electricity meters

g)      There should be more serviced pitches

h)   Awning pitches should be charged at a higher rate

i)    Introduce  booking deposits

j)    72 hour cancellation period too short, increase it

k). The December release of bookings is unfair, abandon release dates

l)      Restrict weekend booking

Please don’t debate the issues in this thread, if you search hard enough you can find threads on the above where you can carry on the debate but if you had to put them in priority for the club to action what would be your top three priorities in your order of preference?

There is always room for improvement so please don't just say you accept the status quo.

Got to say I disagree with most of these so I suggest this is your list not the majority of members.

    I do concur with B. C & D though.

Agree Peedee your list is issues that seem to be discussed a lot of the time, in fact with some its as though they are on a loop!

Which B & C is that, the letters are repeated Undecided

These two though should be top of the list.

    Introduce  booking deposits.

72 hour cancellation period too short, increase it.

Top B and G equal first. Fairly neutral about the rest, they can stay as they are as far as I am concerned.

of course it is my list MT, as I said it is what I have observed over the years. Obviously if you don't agree with some points they won't be top of your list.

Sorry about the error, please read as follows.

    i)      Introduce  booking deposits

    j)      72 hour cancellation period too short, increase it

    k)      The December release of bookings is unfair, abandon release dates

    l)        Restrict weekend booking

I have edited original post, hopefully got it right but difficult on an iPad

To me only "k" would matter, but not for me personally, for others.

    a) is a bit contradictory in suggesting "economy" should have hard standing.

    A new fully functioning forum?

    In the OP there are 2 x A, 2 x B and 2 x C....and no 'K' as mentioned in the last post!

Economy will never be hard standing. It is just a patch of grass. As for the rest they all have followers and detractors and I think possibly the only thing that people agree on is we need more sites.

Could be a seat in the toilet block.

I would like to be able to book a hard standing. Not too fussed about any changes however. Quite content. Laughing

Generally speaking when we use CC sites it's because they give us a good deal and we are more than happy with what they provide for what we pay.

But, in the spirit of the OP, I'd go for B and D then C. Happy

I don't support any! Quite content with current situation. That said, so much more is missing from the list which only includes booking/pitch based issues. Seems a narrow remit to me and misses all those services and facilities which would assist more broadly.Smile

Hmm. Maybe A. possibly J. However do the stats show that J is a problem? Last time I saw them it wasn't.

B, C, D is my priority, the rest I'm personally not bothered about. B is the one that I would pick if I had to choose just one.

Just C for me, don't use Club Sites enough to be bothered by others. Some good points if we did though, harking back more to how Club used to be, a few of them.

Apart from the ability of being able to book a hardstanding I find most of the suggestions regressive rather than progressive.

It was DK, Peedee!  I've been out all day - in Cornwall at the moment, in the van.

Many will know that I have pushed to be able to book hardstandings and at least we have been able to achieve a trial on a handful of sites.  I would be interested to hear the results of the trial and if the CC intends rolling this out further..
