Wifi no good
I have just paid £5 for WiFi for our 2 mobiles. How can I pay for 24 hours use and be able to use a fraction because I am asleep during the night. 24 hours should mean 24 hours. This is bad enough, the system is rubbish, it drops out , is difficult to access
and is unacceptably slow. If the club is to offer this service then they have some major problems to overcome. I will not use it again.

Unfortunately WiFi is variable depending on site, numbers on site, time of day etc. However, one of the problems you might have been having with connection is, unless you paid £5 for each phone, you can only connect one at a time. You have to fully log out on one, before trying to connect with the other. One thing worth knowing is that you can use the club web site inc CT without signing up / parting with your money. So on any future sites you can try before you buy.

No idea which site the OP is using at present. Personally I am well pleased with the wifi. If I was paing per day however I would look at alternatives. Trouble is that many alternatives are not cheap if you are using for an odd weekend. Different if you
use a smart phone a lot and have a contract I suppose. I only use my mobile very occasionally and so not for me that way,0 -
There are only one or two sites that have wifi problems and that is normally stated at the site, and also on the cc wifi guide ,the majority of "complaints "are normally the result of some thinking that the wifi is as in most peoples homes ,which if noted
in the guide is not possible in rural areas0 -
JVB66. Not sure what sites you have been on but my experience of club WiFi, and that of many others going by the numerous threads about poor service, is one of non existent and/or extremely slow speeds. My expectations were nothing more than the ability
to pick up emails and do some surfing. In my experience that has not been possible.I now use a MiFi operating on the 3 network and regularly get download speeds of at least 5mb, often more.

I am not sure why so many get problems. As I said in my earlier post, it is variable, and at the lower bandwidth sites you may need to pick you time of day. However, I have generally found it adequate for emails and basic surfing. At £25 it represents reasonable
value for money and at some sites is the only way to get online.0 -
I have been on far more overseas sites where I have experienced poor or nonexistent WiFi than I have on Club sites.

If you need wifi, don't go to Meathop Fell at the moment.

Having paid another £25 for wifi is one if the reasons we tend to use CCs rather than anywhere else. Last year it was rather patchy but this year it seems to have noticeably improved. Usually it can be a bit problematic around early evening when everyone
is logging on but at other times it's fine for emails and a bit of browsing. I think £25 for 12 months represents good value for money, whereas £5 for 24 hours definitely doesn't.0 -
I agree that the twelve month fee is better value but I would have liked a six month option.

Our April/ May holiday was 48 nights - mainly in Scotland. . We used 9 sites. 6 were CC and none had wifi.
Our June/July hol used 6 sites, all CC and three were none facility. I think all had good wifi. 33 nights
Not sure which sites have wifi on our Sept break but we are using CC sites for hals the hol - probably wifi? We will be away 10 days over Christmas at Southport. Wifi good there and so we will have at least 45 nights of wifi for £25 and the liklihood
is that it will be 60 nights (half our travels. For me good value0 -

If you hire a car for a week, then if you wish to sleep its up to you, but you could just drive it of 24 hours a day for the whole 7 days.
