Scams on the classifieds page

We were interested in a caravan advertised in the classifieds section however i first saw this advertised on ebay. When i phoned the owner he had never owned a caravan? I then copied the image into google images and it popped up in the caravan clubs classified
section. I also found it in 3 other locations.

To be honest i like everyone else would like a bargain but it now makes me worried to purchase anything else except from a dealer.

Has anyone ever been scammed from the classified section before?

Please take a look for yourself

I have now reported this advert

Further to my last post... you may not see this advert when you look for it as it ghosts a fake web page over the top of the original page.   very clever................

    Hi Cliff and Jayne,

There have been many posts relating to scam advertisers on the Classified pages.  I personally would be very wary of purchasing that way.  Buyer beware.  Wink

The Motorhomes section is full of obviously Scam adverts - with mobile phone numbers on premium rate numbers, cheap motorhomes at completely unrealistic prices, and the same mobile number on several very different adverts 'For Sale due to  Bereavement',
etc..  I would think that anyone looking at any of these adverts should beware.  I think the Caravan Club should 'divorce' their advertising from the commercial site they're linked to, and make adverts a Members Only facility!
