I am just curious, but if I personally was in an accident I would telephone my insurance company because technically I have not broken down whereas if I had broken down I would automatically call Green Flag? I am maybe missing something? Not very technically
minded and good to know for in future.0 -
.... its a big 3 wheel Peugeot Metropolis and ...
I never knew there was such a thing .... I've seen loads of the Piaggio's MP3 though in France.
Digressing ..... can it be driven on a car licence too, and if it's a trike, I assume that you don't legally (not sensibly)
need a helmet either0 -

minded and good to know for in future. You are quite right in tht if it is and accident then its your insurance you call, for breakdowns its your breakdown cover company which ever you have. For overseas it becomes a little more involved as costs can be quite eye watering and you need or should
I say should have European breakdown cover.0 -

need a helmet eitherFriends have a Piaggio MP3 or did until they saw ours they are now thinking of changing.
Yes it can be driven on a car license, well ours can. There are differant models and engine sizes, ours is a 400cc and it has a footbrake pedal which is a requirement, we were told, to put it in the class of driving on a car license. Again yes technically
you can drive it without a helmet but as its capable of travelling at over 70 mph why anyone would is beyond me. We were full helmet, jackets and trousers all approved. We changed from 'A' framing in Europe as it was becoming a nuisance and bought the trike
instead, we've had great fun with it, you can park it anywhere, for free usually. OH is reliving his youth0 -
TG I'm pleased you have your problem sorted and for interest I would like to know which insurer has met your requirement as I am sure others would.
Thanks you DD, we found Green Flag Euro+ met our needs.Incidentally, I have always fancied one of those trikes.
they are great fun and suprising comfortable and a suprising amount
of storage for shopping bit heavy for me but I can ride it, not with OH as pillion though0
