What's your prediction
Did you notice the snippet in the February magazine that the Club plans to launch a new product at the February NEC show?
Now what could that be? A CC App perhaps?

A forum that works?

So what is the product?

If its just the app that is hardly earth shattering!!! There are lots of rumours on other forums, like charging for hardstandings, charging for dogs but I can't see those two things being anything to shout about!!!

Whatever it is, I'm sure we will all be underwhelmed. On the other hand Grimstead could break the habit of a lifetime.. If it was for the benefit of the membership they would have announced it to the membership. Having chosen just to tell it to customers at the NEC show it can't be important. I'm sure we will be informed soon.

As I said earlier the bet seems to be on the App although its not something I would get that excited about. If it was anything more profound you could argue that th NEC is not the right place to announce it?

Judging by the amount of electricity some caravans are using on sites these days, I reckon the Club are introducing a monitoring system for each individual pitch
Write your comments here...Good idea Scottie2 I second that.

I downloaded this app a couple of days ago. I'm using it on an iPad. Well hope the launch isn't the CC Site app. It is full of bugs. If the CC have paid a developer they should be asking for a refund. Some of the bugs include when looking a a site in Glastonbury
I went to the map and directions, then view on map and it showed the location as Wetherby, well I suppose it's the same country. Another example is once a search has been made for an area and the list of sites comes up the sort by site type button at the top
doesn't work. Just wondered if others had similar problems?0 -

I haven't experienced this, but may I suggest you report it to appfeedback@caravanclub.co.uk giving as much detail as you can, including the device you are using.
I haven't experienced these particular problems.
Many thanks

You're not haveing the same problem I was having are you using an Android smart phone. What map are you bringing up? It only seems to work well with Google Maps when you are are online. Using off line maps or any other mapping than Google Maps seems a bit
hit and miss.I tried a search using Glastonbury and it worked fine on my Android phone and Google Maps on line.

I had a look on the CC's news and events section this morning. No mention of any announcement. They are really good at failing to communicate with the membership. If they have something to announce just do it,,, stop faffing around.

Thanks for that Steve. My Bookmark is set to CT so I might not have seen that for months!
I wonder if the bookings made in the publicity stunt will actually be taken up or cancelled?
