Why isn't there an option on the search and book to find sites with fully serviced pitches?

Water, drainage & electric!

A very good question and one that had been asked, on this forum, many times before! As far as I remember there has never been a response from the Caravan Club as to why the search is not possible.

I don't know how many times I've pointed this out - and others too.

There is however a list. So as long as you know what area you want to visit you can see if there is any site with service pitches. Link below.

    service pitches

edit  it is the far right column, almost off the screen on my pad, unless you rotate it.

Does that mean you would not go to a site /area if there was not any serviced pitches?

I only ever use serviced pitches. Therefore I use a combination of CC sites and commercial sites, but mostly commercial ones.

More than a few CLs also have part or fully serviced pitches. There is a thread on CT listing them,    Kellysmum

I will book serviced pitched when I can and I will only book serviced pitches in season as I want to have a hardstanding pitch - always.

lets hope the culb can (eventually....) sort out the booking system so that a member wanting a HS doesnt have to book a SP to get one..

..this really cant be difficult, yet the 'trial' is proving to be oneUndecided

The CC should continue with their Supermarket Car park look and convert all their club sites to all hardstanding.

There appears to be a greater demand for H/s than for grass pitches.

Advantages would be, pitches available for use all year.  With no grass to cut, warden staff could be halved with considerable cost savings.

Anybody preferring grass pitches in good weather could use the C&CC sites.

.....or book a private/commercial site - there aren't many that don't allow you to book hardstandings.
