Just spent an hour searching this site and Barclaycard trying to find out how many points i've got towards my free night on site. I think I could carry on for another hour and not be able to find out! Anybody got any idea?

Easy just telephone no. on recent statement. If you cannot find one here is the no.08001615303 or01604230230 or mybarclaycard.co.uk.  They are most helpful.

Thanks for that Susiepop. Didn't really want to phone because I hate those " We really value your custom.......please wait for 40 mins until our representative get back from his teabreak" messages. I've looked at mybarclaycard but can't find it on there.

If you want your vouchers you have to phone. It's a seperate department and as susiepops says it's quite painless. I never had any problems at all, no long waits to be answered what so ever.

If you ring to check your balance it is an option and you get an automated reply so no waiting.

like the othes say its easy to phone or divide your points on your statemnt by 3000 the amount needed per voucher and thats your answer, but remember thats minus your current balance owing on your cards

    HI

Need some advice.  Just received my February Barclaycard credit card statment.  I wanted to redeem my points for a couple of vouchers. So I phoned the number at the top of the bill (0800 161 5303) as I always have done.  This time I got an automated message
saying I could redeem my fredom points on-line.  Then the message stopped and hung up.  Tried again - same.  Any ideas how we can now redeem our points for vouchers?  Especially as my credit card is a caravan club cedit card and not a barclaycard freedom credit
    card.

You could try the alternative number given by susiepops and see if that works.

    Hi

I have just tested this number and the usual message came on to ask me if I was calling about my reward points. I said yes and it put me straight through to an agent who deals with Caravan Club rewards.,  He advised me that it would be possible to get a
message about freedom points but not on the above number.  Sorry, maybe some wires got crossed somewher where you called in.  Everything is working as it should at the moment.

Tried to redeem my points this afternoon, called both of the 0800 numbers provided both directed me to the freedom points website, however the site does not recognise or accept my card number. I an at a loss as what to do next. Does anyone know of a number
I may call to talk to a real person not a computer?

Beware of Caravan Club Credit Card limit imposed on how vouchers are collected. Once you have collected enough point for 5 vouchers stop using the card immediately until the start of a new calandar year i.e. January. I cashed mine in May and all the points
thereafter until the next January count for nothing. This restriction is apparently mentioned in those terms and conditions that all should read (if you have nothing else to do in your life). My Caravan Club credit card is now going in the bin as there are
    better deals elsewhere.

Both my husband and myself have cc credit cards and we alternate them using one until we have a voucher then the other and this way you can have 10 vouchers a year if you collect enough points. We each have a card on the others account so its much easier to use this system .Just one thing to remember , if you have a refund on your card the equivalent points are removed.

We don't have CC credit cards, but it seems that they are no different to other financial offers in the present low interest climate. You must shop around and use things to your advantage. Unfortunately it takes a lot of research, keeping track of etc. Almost
a full-time job in its own right . It's not just cards but savings accounts too.

True but you would have to spend £30,000 on the cards.

You won't need to worry about your site night viouchers for much longer as Barclays are pulling the plug on the CC Credit Card.  See Here

Barclaycard have sent out notification of the closure to all caravan club credit cardholders and we expect these letters to arrive from today.

Please note that you can continue redeem your points to get Site Night vouchers until the end of August 2016.  Vouchers are valid for a year from date of issue. ( Vouchers ordered in August 2016 will be valid until the end of August 2017.)

That is disappointing, only had it about 1 year. Will the card cease to be valid, or is it just the points that will stop?

Also think it's disappointing. I shall probably move all my spends to my Santander Account and enjoy their 123 cashback scheme - I thinks it's a better deal anyway.!

Yet another reason for using CC and its sites goes out the window.

I have just got my letter to say the scheme is closing we are beening transfered to a Barclaycard Freedom  Rewards card and actually the rewards have a lot of choice to pick from.

The transfer takes place at the end of July and you can still redeem points till the end of August , any points left over will be changed to to Freedom points.

A bit disapointing as I liked to save my vouchers for peak period times on site.

Yes we've just received our letter from Barclaycard as well and we are extremely disappointed about the site night vouchers.  Barclaycard Freedom points don't do anything for us, we spend very little in these stores.   We save our site night vouchers for either a 3 or 4 night stay in peak season to help with the finances.  When you are on a pension, every little helps and the site fees now are so expensive.   Looks like the CLs will be getting a bit more use.   Pity the Caravan Club don't give Senior discounts (excluding high peak) like the Camping and Caravanning Club do, at least that would compensate a little.   I know they offer Mon-Fri discounts on some sites but still doesn't cover a lot of the sites.

We only got the CC Barclaycard to obtain the vouchers, but have seen the number of points required per voucher steadily increase over the years. Now they intend to stop the voucher scheme, we shall simply shop around to find an alternative card that offers
us the best deal - but it will not be a Barclaycard !

Not sure why Barclay card gets rubbished after having run the CC scheme for so long but there you go.In actual fact I believe there was only one increase in the number of points required for one site night when it moved from 2500 to 3000. As items purchased
on the card have probably gone up it was probably not that much more expensive to earn a site night voucher, and besides, the value of the voucher has risen too.

Shame it's finished but there you go. There are actually better returns for your spending than could be earned on it... Halifx gives you £5 if you spend £300 and that takes some beating. However, you get no more than that so once you have £300 on the account
use another card. Santander gives you 3% cashback on petrol,1% on groceries.

Asda give cash back of 1% on spending at Asda and 0.5% elsewhere with no need to tie yourself to a current account.

In the early days it used to be 2,000 points to get a voucher then it went to 2,500 , now its 3,000 it used to be a good scheme and I will miss my vouchers.I think the card initally started off with Frizzell , then it went to another provider possibly MBNA for a short while before going to Barclaycard.

Well, that will be the end of Barclaycard for us.

Been doing some reckoning up of the rewards and Barclaycard are by far the worst. That's just comparing with Sainsbury and M&S.......I'm sure there will be others that are better still.

Also, that will be even fewer CC sites that we visit because we won't have vouchers to use in the Summer......no way are we paying £30/night.
