Good luck to those of you trying to book CC sites for 2017 tomorrow morning. Hope you manage to get what you want.

I'll be thinking of you while I'm walking the coast path from Trevone to Padstow and settling down for a pasty and a pint of Tribute in the Cornish sunshine! Happy

I shall be staying out of the way of those booking tomorrow as we tend not to book until a few weeks before we want to go. However I can understand that those with fixed holidays may well want to take advantage of the certainty of booking so far in advance.

At work so no option but to ignore it all till tomorrow evening. Luckily we arent that keen on Chatsworth and dont have a need to go to Rowntree so we should still be able to get something I hope.

But it's not just tomorrow is it. At the moment one cannot get any information on either club sites or worse still CL's. Why are the latter being blocked?

    Does this

You'll probably have the wind behind you leaving from Trevone, not sure about sunshine though. Enjoy your walk.

Write your comments here...No idea Nellie. Tried to find some info a few hours ago and was blocked. There's no need to block CLs. You should be able to book these at any time to suit the owners not the CC.

I haven’t decided yet either but it will mostly be CLs anyway. Good luck to those of you who are trying to book though.Smile

Re the search site this is a quote from CC main page; “Our UK Sites App will be unavailable from 6 December until 10am on 8 December as well”

    Unfortunatly this includes the CLs.Sad

It may tell us why the site's down but doesn't explain why the CL section has been closed down, does it?

Agree completely. Not very fair on CL owners, me thinks.

Personally, I'm not yet interested in 2017 yet - there's still most of December 2016 left

Just got back from a lovely 7 days at a gorgeous CL in Northumberland ...... and now I cannot leave a review for it !

I also can't search other CL's for the rest of December

For the amount of revenue CC gets you'd have thought that a decent website which supports its members as well as CL owners might be a nice thing to have - or is that too much to ask !

Have sent an email to H/O and requested a reply

It is still possible to use the app to look at both sites and CL's. However, because the CC have actually taken it down, you need to turn your wifi connection off ( put pad / phone in airplane mode will do). If the app has a connection it comes up
with a warning that it is not available and refuses to load. Without the connection you can search and filter as normal, as the most recent download is all on your device.

A good point Stve, but I don't use pads or phones, just a 'proper' PC and my cache is cleared every time I close my browser. Also the machine is powered off when not in use, so in this instance I can only access 'live' sites

Seems to be working very well this year. The three bookings that we wanted, that might book up, sorted for 18 mins past 8. Much better than previous years, well done on the IT front CC.

Booked a site for New Year and Easter with no problem.   Think the queuing system is much fairer although don't really agree with this one super day to start booking as it's unfair to lots of people who work, have other commitments and want a specific site.
I've only booked as coincidentally I'm having a smart meter fitted today so was at home and able to book.

I thought that it was much slower to start with but it is indeed the luck of the draw.

Why the CC persist in this planned mayhem is beyond me. We have to endure numerous outages on the website while they prepare and when booking starts it is abundantly clear that the site is struggling to cope resulting in members frustration. A rolling twelve
month calendar has been proposed by many yet they persist in this farce. Why?

Same every year. Some sites already blocked booked out up to New Year 2017. Couldnt even access site some sites, then eventually I get in and it's all blocked out not-available. OK for those at home or have access not working, not so good for others who
can only access in their breaks/lunch or when they get home. Disappointed every year. Ridiculous. Something needs to change if only max number of bookings/maximum perioed of booking ahead to give some people a chance! No doubt works for some but not the many.

...There are some sites as published, are not available until later dates for bookings, because of upgrades that are being carried out

I have said much the same in the other thread CY. Even with a rolling system there will need to be a brake of some kind on bookings otherwise weekends at the popular sites will still get fully booked.
