Quite a few people use Steamer Quay in Totnes, there's access to the river Dart over the road, you'd have to carry the kayak a short distance. No EHU on site. Coniston Park Coppice has access to the Lake at the bottom of the site. There are a lot of sites
around with easy access to the sea or inland water.

An excellent site with direct access (and launching ramp) to the Wye is LUCKSAL at Mordiford, near Hereford.  It is a commercial, but gives discount for CC. An onsite operator may even arange recovery from Ross.

The C&CC Derwentater site has excellent access to the lake, direct from the site (this is the big, main site, not the other one near to it that used to be called The Oval).

Perhaps not in as scenic an area, but Burrs Country Park is surprisingly rural and right by the River Irwell with a watersports acitivity centre right outside the site gate.  if you don't mind a 30 minute walk into Bury, you could quite easily have a long
holiday there without using your car, there is so much to do in the area.

The big main site with access to the lake is called C&CC Keswick. The site that was The Oval is now called C&CC Derwentwater, which strangely, doesn't have access to the Derwentwater lake shore.

PS - I think that you have to pay to launch a boat from the CCC main Keswick site , after paying £x to stay there.

The old CC site, now C&CC at Braithwaite Fold on Windermere has easy access to the lake, I believe "self-propelled" boats like kayaks can be launched free. There is a boat park at the back of the site.
