Just a public  word of praise for the Wardens on duty at Bolton Abbey site over the last weekend. The site had a terrific storm, with dangerous winds and torrential rain on the Monday evening. It brought down some big branches and lots and lots of smaller
branches and leaves that littered the roads and pitches, but I took our dogs out early Tuesday morning, and the Wardens were hard at it moving the branches, sweeping the pitches and roadways to clear up the site. Luckily, no trees came down within the site
itself, although there were some big ones down across the estate paths. By the time we left, just after 11am, the site was back to looking spic and span, and they were to be seen hard at it sorting out all the other tasks! So well done those Wardens, I think
they were called Allister! The site was a credit to you!Happy

    yes well done wardens. As I keep saying one of the best parts of club sites. People who live on site, take a pride in
    their site rather than those come to work at the site at 9am and then ring someone,  the wardens actually get on with the problem.

    It’s the fear of someone tripping on a fallen branch and putting in a claim that does it!Money Mouth

    You could be right AD, if so there were a whole lot of beavers having a go that Monday night! What surprised me was how many tops had come off the really tall fir trees. The whole path network (off site) was littered with broken off stumps, some around 10-15
    feet. Perfect as Xmas trees! The Bolton Abbey estate workers were buzzing about with chainsaws and shredders as well, getting rid of fallen debris.

    Storm didn't put us off though. Fantastic forest site, with great walks and scenery direct from gates. We have decided to go back again before Christmas. Good price this time of year as well.
