Pitch allocation

Could anyone please explain to me why on some sites pitches are allocated ,and on others not.
This is what the OP asked. There is no mention of ALL pitches being allocated.
It says 'some sites' not 'some pitches' so I assumed on that site it was all pitches - apologies
That's okay bm, but with much respect there's a lot of assumptions made on threads which lead to misleadings, misunderstandings and, on occasions, deliberate wind ups.

I think we should all trust site wardens to use their "Discretion" to run their sites and adapt CC on-site rules as they see fit. -----If they reserve pitches, it will be for a very good reason.

Not the paying customers
...like all companies and only some will get any concessions ,all the comitees have to pay for their stays as you are aware even currant staff on our old company do not get the same consecions as you and I probably enjoy

Yes but we dont or shouldnt sit while paying passengers stand and quite right too
..The rule about giving up seats for others does not apply to retired staff ,and OH cannot stand anyway,and we also still get the same consecions on all the All the old railway shipping routes as well

Write your comments here...In all the years we have used CC sites , we have never been allocated a pitch , it's totally different on commercial sites & any affiliated sites , you except that in all probability that you will be allocated a pitch.
I understand that if CC warden's do allocate certain pitch types , then it's at their discretion & for a reason .
After all the warden's do run the sites & know of any issues that requires special attention , whether it be pitch type or location for disabled members or people with mobility issues.

Write your comments here... We have been club members for almost 30 years and have never seen any evidence of this. I am as cynical as most or probably more so but in this case I cannot find any evidence to support the conspiracy theorists here.

Having driven for hours through the nightmare of outer London to Crystal Palace I was delighted to be told my pitch number and handed the key. Driving round the site hunting for a pitch was the last thing I wanted to do. On this occasion allocation
.was it about the only pitch?
