Fireworks free site
Hi all,
where are the best sites to avoid fireworks? My dog gets very stressed and the season for fireworks seems to get longer each year. I have been told that National Parks do not allow fireworks. Do any members have suggestions for sites to book to avoid fireworks?
How about Dulverton? Any others?

We were at Englethwaite Hall during Halloween and didn't hear any, and suspect that it was the same for Bonfire Night. What part of the country had you on mind, Neat?

Think you might struggle, too many people down that way!

Two things for you. I was at Dulverton three weeks ago. There was a private fire work party in town somewhere and it was loud. So 1 Dulverton obviously does not come under national park rules. And 2 fireworks can occur anywhere around any time of year.

Hi all
Oh Neat5 - I feel for you and your lovely dog. I hope you find a quiet spot. My advice would be to call the sites ahead and check for any local firework displays. As harryb says they can crop up anywhere thesedays and I know that can be distressing for pets.
Hopefully we are out of the main firework season now and you can enjoy a quiet getaway. Don't forget the CLs if you want to be really rural.Happy travels.
