Congratulations to all the site staff at Troutbeck CC Site for raising almost £3000.00 for the Paterdale Mountain Rescue Team during the last season.

    Was it the staff that raised the money by themselves, or was the £3000 raised from donations from the visiting caravanners? If the latter surely it's those that should you should be thanking.

    Whoever it was the sum raised will be of great assistance to the Mountain Rescue team.

    The visitors produced the money but without the wardens work nothing would have been raised so they should get the credit.

    Let's not argue about who should get the credit but just be grateful and pleased that money was raised for a very worthy cause.

    Totally agree. I give to MacMillan and to a local hospice. When I see folk working hard to collect for similar charities I give purely to reward there effort in taking time and trouble.
