Golden Cap Holiday Park
Just wondering if anyone had stayed here? What it is like?
I am looking for a site on or very near the beach on the south coast. Does not need to be a holiday park as only hubby and me. Any other suggestions would be greatfully received.

I expect you mean this one Golden Cap . Yes, very nice haven't used it but have seen it many times, good pub by the beach, the Anchor and lovely walks. Apologies had to edit my post as I mixed it up with another site. There is also Freshwater Bay at Burton Bradstock and Highlands End at West Bay, both good sites on the coast.

Hi,
We live locally and often walk through this site when tramping the coastal path. The site is quite big - not sure if that is your thing - well kept and located very near the beach. The Anchor pub has recently undergone a re-furb and there are a couple more pubs in the village of Chideock, both offering good value for money.
Another site perhaps worth considering is Manor Farm at Charmouth.

We stayed on the nearby CL site called Doghouse Farm and used to walk down to the beach past Golden Cap site and walked through it to have a look and it looked very nice, well kept and not far from the beach and the Anchor Pub, a couple of nice pubs not
far away in Chideock too. Great area for walking, one of our favourite areas. Road from Chideock down to the site is pretty narrow with a few passing spots but going steady won't be too bad. We really loved the CL site at Doghouse though if you don't mind
basic/quiet sites. Enjoy!0 -
If you like CLs, Molly Tuckers field is that way. If you don't mind a challenge in getting there it's a good CL with wonderful views of the Channel. We loved it.
Molly Tuckers field is at leat 50 miles away from it, in a totally different area!
