Have you checked out C&CC's Camping in the Forest sites?

What about the C&CC's Delamere Forest site. Train station just outside the site, great for a ride into Chester.

Another alternative is the CC's Clumber site, of course. That's in a forest too.

im not a member of C&CC's but i soon could be. Just thought i would throw it out there for some ideas from more well travelled people..I know peoples opinions are different but when you have a loverly site in a great location opinions cant be to far
    apart

The Camping in the Forest sites are lovely - although the Delamere site is adjacent to the forest but not many trees on the actual site.  My favourite has to be Beddgelert which might be close enough for you depending where you are  - icing on the cake for
me was the Steam Railway with station stopping at the site.  It is well worth looking at their website -

    Have a great celebration.

The CC at Coniston Park Coppice is in a forest setting, best of both worlds, mountains and lake within walking distance.

Another thought is Walesby Woodlands - near Market Rasen

Its independent now used to be C &CC - very nice people there.  Great time of year to be here if you enjoy wildlife as the seals will be giving birth at Donna Nook but you may know that already!

Clumber is ok as long as you can manage with no signal etc - it seems to be really bad there.

Surely that would be a benefit for the OP as they're going away for a romantic stay away!!Cool

Yes no mobile signal and no wifi. However, if the need is desperate a couple of hundred metres walk up limetree towards the A614,  yields a good 3G and phone signal on O2.

Get out of or near the entrance and Orange/EE worked fine.

Bolton Abbey site - which is actually at Strid Woods. There at the moment with stunning autumn colours and great walks.

Sandy Balls in the New Forest will likely be doing some really good deals at this time of year.

Should be just about do-able in your time frame?
