Search facility on booking sites?

Why is it so unpredictable? I have tried various ways of checking which sites are going to be open in November this year. First of all the 'search and book' put in dates from 1st no until the end of Nov. can't do that only a 21 day search, OK so take dates
out and put all Nov, it returns a list of sites some of which closed in Oct.Yell So I tried using the Map it returned quite a few but also left out
others that were open. Some sites close on the 7 Nov. so one of the seaches left lease sites out altogether Yell

Trying to put together a tour for November is frustrating as it means I can't see the availability for all sites during the month even if they close during the month. If you use the date 1st to 21st it will only return sites that have availabiltiy for ALL
that period. Then I have to do another search for the last week. 

Why oh why is nothing easy with the CC.

    You should have asked HO for a printed copy of this year's price list as this has the closing dates of all sites. I appreciate it's a bit late to do so now but something to think about for the 2017/18 season. One always has to check each site seperately
    to see what's available in any month. However it's better than the C&CC's booking system where one cannot see if a site full or not at any time without trying a booking.

    Thanks NTH, I do have a copy of the price list as it happens. its just so frustrating doing a search and finding that some of the sites are not coming up in it, even though they do have availability. You can't search for more than 21 days even though I don't want to stay on the same site for that time. I've given up I will just ring ahead or check on line a few days in advance but thats not very useful as I could miss a site I wanted to go to and we could end up going round in circles (well not really) but we could end up not going the most organised route.Yell

    By the way there has been a thread running recently where someone posted how to search and book with the C&CC so that you can see availability first, it would appear there are many that didn't know how. I will come back on EDIT to let you know which thread if I find it.

    Nellie its page 5&6 on the thread 'Cancelling and Booking' in the UK sites and Touring page 2, if that makes any sense. It was Deleted User that posted how to do top of page 6.

    If you look in UK Touring at the top of the page and cursor down to Club Sites there are various details about sites.
    Open All Year is one of them.

    Tried that one as well Brue, its the inconsistancy that's frustrating. If you use 'open all year' you just get a list of sites, then you have to check each one individualy, take notes of dates available (hoping that will still be the case when you have finished
    checking all sites) 

    When I did a search using the' map' feature it didn't return the same sites that came up in the 'search and book' using the same dates. Finally I tried the Flexi option of just November, it didn't return any of the sites that are open upto the 7th November
    Frown just another of the rubbish search facilities on this site.

    It would be great if we could see at a glance availabilty across all sites like you can on the 'Late Availability' tab this even gives you what type of pitch is available ie. awning/non awning/other

    Thanks, TG, will have a look at it, but we've decided to give up C&CC after this year because of hugh jump in prices a couple of years ago along with a couple of other problems with them.
