Cycling from Yellowcraig.
Due for a short break at Yellowcraig Club Site. Taking our bikes, so looking for any help regarding cycling out direct from site, if possible, into North Berwick and beyond, preferably via low traffic routes. We will have OS maps with us, but any local knowledge
would be good. Does the A168 have a decent safe cycle lane?
Thanks for any help.

We stayed at this site a couple of weeks ago and took our bikes. We cycled in to North Berwick a couple of times. It is a nice route and there is a cycle path for a bit of the way you just have to join the road for a mile or so on the way in to town but
it wasnt too busy we cycled round the harbour area which was great. Enjoy your atay0 -
Thank you very much Francis, just the kind of information I needed! We know the area quite well, but not in terms of cycling. NB is a really lovely little town, plenty to see and do, and of course the lovely beaches! Many thanks!

There are quite a few off road byways & footpaths around North Berwick Law that would suit OH if not your good self. I cycled them from East Fortune the last time we were there. Tracks too around the side of the golf courses.

Thanks Nellie. He does his extreme stuff and long distance rides when I zip home! Just hoping for a bit of a nice ride along coast, maybe to Tantallon, Aberlady etc...
(That's another Club Site closed as well!)

Some reasonable cycling in East Lothian. It's flat and easy. BUT if you just want to go to North Berwick from Yellowcraig, as per the O/Post
Forget the bike and just walk along the sea shore either on the sand or along the John Muir Trail. It's not far and the views are really good.
