On the way to the Lakes -Thursday

Anyone got any ideas please for somewhere to stay over for one night on the way to the lakes i had thought of tebay but closed

    It may be helpful if you say where you are travelling from/to mark674. From S Yorks to Keswick we travel via A1/A66 usually - takes about 3 hrs and don't stop.

    Englethwaite and Kendal are two popular stop over sites, there are CLs near the M6 too.

    Apologies mark674, I misread your route, thinking you were heading further north when you mentioned Tebay.

    If you are going to use the M6 I'd suggest the Kendal site, only about 4 mls off the motorway Junct.36. There's also a CL, Kaker Mill Fm, close to that Junction.
