The new RHS Chatsworth Flower Show starts on the 7th. June 2017, I just wonder what my chances are of getting on the club site for those days, `zero I think`, I was wondering if the club is making provision for extra pitches in what is going to be a very
popular yearly event, unlikely I know but they must be chewing it over.

There is no scope for extra pitches on the site itself as every square inch is already filled. Any additional pitches would have to be in the form of a temporary site, on the farmland, or within the park. Both I suspect, unlikely. As too booking,  if you
get on first thing on booking day, you stand as much chance as anybody else who is trying at the same time. However, if unsuccessful with Chatsworth, Castleton CC site is only 14 miles away and it's 16 miles from Poolsbrook Country Park CC site.

Why not use a CL close to the Chatsworth, such as Priestfield Grange Fm, Old Brampton. You should be able to get booked on there now for the Flower Show. It's about 15mins by car from the estate.

Greenhills Caravan Park at Ashford in the Water is only 5 miles from Chatsworth House, its a lovely site.

Write your comments here...Yes I appreciate that, its just that you can walk from the site too the show, not having to put up with miles of heavy traffic as their bound to be. like you say, will have to be quick on the button when the site becomes available
    in December.

Started at 8.00 this morning, eventually got into the Easy book at 8.50 and, as predicted, all pitches completely full for any combination of days. No wonder members get frustrated; with two elderly dogs, staying on site is the only viable option.

This member does not get frustrated. After all it is the luck of the draw

When there is a popular event very close to a big event it will book up very quickly and no matter how you arrange the booking system it is always going to be a problem.

We also live close to Chatsworth and use the Club Site, mid week. Looks like most week-ends for 2017 are booked. We wanted to book for the week-end of the Chatsworth International Horse Trials. No luck so we have agreed with Chatsworth to set up and run a temporary site in the Park itself for the Trials. Four nights plus two three day members tickets. Have a look at my Discussion by searching for Chatsworth International Horse Trials. Hope to see you in May.
