Clean Ellsen

We just had a weekend we stayed at a lovely little site in barnham sussex the site was nice but the ellsen was a manhole when you opened lid it had a grill over it no one seemed to clean it just emptied there toilet in and left it the site had no toilet
I took hose over and cleanded  it every time I got talking to someone who stayed on site and told me the owner does not like you to clean it as grill catches tissues and wipes which can stop pump working I was told in summer it can be unbearable with smell
as anyone else heard of this before

    Never - that's not good.

    Did you not speak to the site owner?

    If this is a CL I hope you've mentioned it in a review of the site so that others are forewarned.

    Not cl but I think it was caravan and camping but we are not members of them

    If you are saying it is a CS site then as non members why are you staying there?

    They are members only sites.

    Perhaps it was a listed site?

    Not sure we found site when we were driving around as I said it was a lovely site just the ellsen

    Ok mate.

    Sounds like they have a potential problem with the toilet emptying point. I can well imagine it would get smelly quickly.

    Ya it seemed to us that few people were very long stayers if not living on site
