The top of the email confirmation says 12:00-14:00 - at the bottom of the email it says 13:00???????????  the all says 12:00-14:00 - someone needs to address this conflicting information

You need to understand what the information on the  booking confirmation means.

As Helen said, the " 12.00-14,00" arrival time refers to the slot you selected on making the booking, thus confirming your choices and the information on your outfit etc.

Further down it states earliest arrival is 13.00, so this takes precedence.

Steve's earlier problem was that his confirmation e mail stated arrival time at Berwick was 12.00. this has now apparently been fixed on the system.

In the handbook it still of course states 12.00, so if you do not read the e mail now, you will arrive too early.

The lack of explanation on arrival at the site does not of course help matters.

In the 2015/16 sites handbook there is only one time listed 1300 in large bold letters no mention of 1200 at all

Well, that is interesting! (Haven't been there recently so assumed it was a recent change)

The old handbook has it correct but the e mails (previously, as highlighted by Steve in another thread) had it wrong but are now correct.

And OP claims the app was wrong last week but is now correct.

Bit of a mess if that is in fact the way it was.

No idea if it has now been corrected, however in late May when we were sent our enjoy your holiday email, it said we could arrive at 12 noon.  A rather surprising mix up considering the handbook, which we don't carry with us, would have been published in
late 2014, over 18 months before. Personally I am happy to arrive after the time stated, I do not want to steal an advantage on others. However, if the CC cannot get its act together, they have nobody other than themselves to blame, when folk turn up early.
It is just not reasonable to expect customers to cross check information, and possibly even phone the site, to find out the designated earliest arrival time. In our case even if we had of checked the book, we would almost certainly have accepted the email
as it was published over 18 months later.

As the CC seems to be stuck on its paper format you would have expected that when the site times or other information changed they might send out an ammendment to the handbook that you could add in to keep it up to date.

Whatever the situation if the fault is the club's the warden should not be blaming the customer.

Suggesting people phone the site will just result in more warden time wasted answering the phones.

i know it should not be essential but i always check site arrival times and special directions before i set off and always check confirmation emails just in case anything has changed. I do agree however that the information available does rather confirm
the left hand, right hand theorySealed. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

We're going to Berwick soon, the arrival time of 1pm is now clearly written twice on the site details page and 1pm on the email. Unfortunately on CT there have been some heated debates about 12 o clock arrivals which distracts from the fact there are quite
a few sites with 1pm arrivals and a few with 10am. Agree with jeffcc, it's best to double check.

If you get an enjoy your holiday email brue. I would be interested to know if they have got round to changing it on that, as it is now over 3 months since it was pointed out to them. I would hope that by now everything says 1 pm.

It was on my booking confirmation email a couple of weeks ago. I have opted out of receiving other CC emails.

    Hi all

It's true - hands up.. there are, on some sites, a discrepancy between the usual 12 noon arrival time and the request by the sites to arrive at 1pm (due to narrow access roads). When booking UK sites please always check your confirmation for booking details
and important site info that may have been missed when checking the Directory or on the website/ app such as differing arrival time and directions to site.

Glad to hear you had an otherwise good stay js10xxx.

    All the best.

    Helen

Don't make me laugh Helen. A site I went to on recent trip had 10am booking in time on confirmation e-mail!! Should have been 12  think.

And then there are the sites where it's not 12 o'clock until the warden says it is ... even though it was 5 past. Despite a 1/3 full site Warden would prefer you to line up outside the entrance as though you were waiting to see the headmaster. Yell
