Using an awning as a bedroom

I've seen this done on numerous club sites (some even allow pup tents outside) so I can't see a problem, I don't think it's anywhere in the rules about you having to say where your party are sleeping providing you pay for them as you said.
all I found in the rules is this:
5 Using awnings or tents
a. On pitches with awning space you can erect an awning. You may also put up a tent for extra sleeping accommodation, or a specially designed toilet or cooking tent, provided the main outfit is occupied, but please keep them within your pitch area
I find the idea of a cooking tent quaint, has anybody ever seen one on a carvan pitch?
Write your comments here...Yes. Loads of them in Spain. Have a look at awning makers web sites like Isabella.
sorry folks. I hadn't read all the posts. By the way they're called a Cocina in Spain.

Occupancy in an awning or pup tent is 50% of the main outfits max number of berths. For example a 4 berth caravan, can have 2 people in an awning/pup tent. So a maximum of 6 persons,,,,
Where have you got this from?

Write your comments here...That's news to me! Last year we accommodated a total of seven people in our outfit including ourselves on a touring holiday in June 2015. Our caravan is four berth and we had two side annexes on our awning.

As quoted, by CornerSteady, from 2015/16 CC Sites Directory & Handbook, page 274, without any further reference to number of occupants.
So there we have it .

I think you would be fine as long as its not excessive numbers and they dont disturb others. When our offspring were older children/teens they preferred the option of sleeping in a pup tent or the awning as it gave them more flexibility about bed/getting

Hello there,
This is our awning teen suite, used on several club sites. One thing to bear in mind is that it can be cold sleeping in the awning and our teen is a giant, so he has an extra long camp bed in the pod to raise him off the ground and a serious sleeping bag.0 -
