Using an awning as a bedroom
If you have a two berth van. Is it ok to have a third person sleeping in the awning? Obviously I would inform the site management upon booking regarding the situation and pay for three if that is their policy.

In the past we've used an awning bedroom like this from Towsure

I've seen this done on numerous club sites (some even allow pup tents outside) so I can't see a problem, I don't think it's anywhere in the rules about you having to say where your party are sleeping providing you pay for them as you said.
all I found in the rules is this:
5 Using awnings or tents
a. On pitches with awning space you can erect an awning. You may also put up a tent for extra sleeping accommodation, or a specially designed toilet or cooking tent, provided the main outfit is occupied, but please keep them within your pitch area
I find the idea of a cooking tent quaint, has anybody ever seen one on a carvan pitch?

Whilst accepting that it would not be correct to exceed the main outfit berths, it does seem petty that, say for example, grandparents in a 2 berth could not have two grandchildren in the awning.

Write your comments here...I'm afraid this is now not true this ruling was changed three years ago, there is no limit anymore so within reason you can have as many as you want.

So we are OK then! ....we have a 2-berth 'van. I sleep in the awning, and wife sleeps in the 'van.

I really can't see why you have to mock and have a go at other's people's choices, could you explain that Corners?
I suggest you look up the definition of quaint , also no one has stated using such a cooking tent on this post or chossing to use , so who am I mocking BB?
