I've tried to book a break in Knaresborough for Feb 2017 but it looks like the site is closed.  We were told that the Reception and Bistro were due to be replaced after New Year 2016 and wondered if the site was closed because of this?  

Anyone know what's happening?

    There's usually a section in the UK Holidays area giving info about site redevelopments, maybe it hasn't been updated yet?

    Just checked the site booking page and it just says bistro and bar open from Wednesday 2nd March 2016 to Monday 2nd January 2017.   Have you tried ringing the site?

    On the booking page it shows closed in January after the 2nd so i take it it is closed until March 2017

    In previous years the site closes around 02 Jan and reopens around the 3rd week in February.  Will ring the site.

    Just rang the site.  The wardens can only say that the CC are talking about redeveloping the whole site but to date haven't got planning permission.   At the moment they're not taking bookings due to the uncertainty of the CC's plans but we've been told
    to "watch this space"
