Where are you this Bank Holiday ?

Well, I have to make the most of my time off work, so I'll report back on the Norfolk roads this Bank Holiday and I'll let you know if it turns out to be a baptism of fire. Either way, can't wait to get back in the van and here's hoping the weather holds
for us all. Home or away0 -
we are heading to hill head caravan club site (only an hour from home) but we are leaving Sunday so hoping the traffic will be ok
Its our first ever venture out in the van ! cant wait!

The solution is to travel overnight. That's what we did when we went on the National Rally and the roads were empty despite it being bank holiday weekend.

This bank holiday, we don't need to go anywhere as we are already on our seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm Caravan Club site. We have our relaxers and picnic table out on the lawn in front of our awning. The warden keeps the grass looking lovely for us.
It's warm and sunny, so what more could we want. Plenty of cold drinks in the fridge to chill out!0 -
We've booked a ferry for the 1st. but as I don't like doing the trip in one go and I have a brother who lives in Bournemouth we are travelling (for the first time since retiring) over Bank Holiday. Staying at a couple of CLs for 2 nights each. Packing the van with food essentials today and the car tomorrow. Can't wait
Hope you enjoy Sandringham. Great area.

Heading off to the Tunnel Monday morning then to Italian lakes via Alsace and Switzerland and maybe, coming back via Matterhorn. Unless we get stuck on the M25!

At home
Same here. Don't go/stay out during this BH or Easter for that matter. Too many others out at these times for us.

By the looks of the majority of post on here most CT members are at home, so why are there so few pitches available on club sites over this weekend?

Another at home here! Our next outing will be in a couple of weeks - down to Cornwall to take our daughter to start at Falmouth University. We're combining it with 5 noghts away in the 'van. This weekend was just too close to the end of our holiday, having
just returned from 7 weeks in France, Germany and Italy. Incidentally, I'm putting up lots of photos of what we got up to in the comment boxes at the bottom at the 'end' of the story. I'll update it with more as I get time. Do take a look.

Perhaps it's all the non-members blocking them, Nellie.

Our son and his family are stopping with us this week so for the first time in ages we have ventured out over the B/H weekend. (If you live in Devon you usually try to stop at home) Bit of a nightmare with all the grockles, sorry I mean holidaymakers. Yesterday
we took the kids to Saunton beach, we queued to get there and it was packed, hard to walk without stepping on someone, it always amazes me that so many sit just near the entrance. We walked on a few hundred yards and managed to find a fairly quiet spot in
the dunes. Is it the herding instinct or is it laziness? Role on September.0 -

The site here was full for parts of the Bank Holiday weekend but by yesterday there were vacant pitches once again. A reminder that the Bank Holiday is now over!
