Do wardens make up jobs to do?

Do some wardens have too much time on their hands?, the site we are on  a warden is walking round the site roads with a leaf blower ,blowing the leaves off the road,WHY, no sooner had he passed than the wind had blown more leaves back on itUndecided

    No, it was a petrol one ,strapped to his back, and as he passed he covered the front of my M/H in dust Yell

    He was doing what some expect all wardens to do, checking for "rule breakers" but letting "members" know he was around and not miising him doing it,   "it worked"Wink

    no ,they ride their bike round the site a couple of times a day to do thatUndecided

    So three times in a day "checking" + bin run,and loo cleaning trip, should satisfy most who think wardens are "never" seen  Happy

    We sat in our Moty last year fully entertained watching the exact same thing with the leaves covering his path behind him just as quicklycould understand it if heavy rain or ice etc forecast as wet leaves are dangerous anywhere but this was fine
    weather ( and forecast to stay that way) apart from trusty gusts following him around.

    Surely as its a caravan site not the M1 the important part is the pitches not the road, so blowing leaves off the road onto the pitches is doubly poor!!

    Leaf blowers are a complete waste of time wherever they are used.

    Not sure what Wardens get up to most of time. We are seldom on site watching, usually out somewhere. Just a place to sleep and fill/empty tanks for us!Happy

    We had just got back from the day out ,and it was 5.30 that I was sitting out and got covered in dust from it ,so no I wasnt watching ,but you tend to notice that type of thingUndecided

    I'm sitting reading this looking down our tree lined road and there are no leaves dropping yet. So where are they finding leaves to blow around. Autumn hasn't arrived yet.

    Possibly Lime Trees. There are lots of leaves falling off these at the moment, wherever we've been the last cople of weeks. It might have to do with the lackof rain we've had recently, as trees will shed leaves to reduce water loss in times of drought.Laughing

    Why would any warden invent a job when the alternative could be to sit down watching TV with his/her feet up?

    In my experience it is cutting grass that fills the time even though sometimes it is shorter than mine after  I have cut it.

    We too had got in from a day out and were chilling with a beer, apart from the noise of the blower....not knocking the warden in anyway just saying that the task seemed a bit pointless.

    Husky, offer the warden a job in Kent .We could strap him to the front of a train , no more leaves on the line !.
