    Perhaps they are installing pods?

You know the sort of thing.  Detached 4 bedroom double garage type pods.

Under "Important Information" within the site info on the website it says:

Please note that site wide improvements shall be undertaken in stages between 7 November and 16 December 2016 and 9 January to 24 March 2017 with reduced pitch availability and some construction noise during these times. We apologise for any inconvenience
whilst we improve our member facilities during these works.

Doesn't tell us much really though, does it?

But they only have about 4 or 5 grass pitches and they are all in a corner, so they wouldn't disrupt the rest of the site if they were made hardstanding......and they are closed in winter anyway.

From the booking page, I see they are are showing serviced pitches from September.......?

Can't think of much at Broadway that needs major improvements, Undecided although when we were last there some of the pitches flooded
quite badly after some heavy rain.

Were you there in June H&T?

We saw some pitches flood during a burst of really heavy rain......

No Ian, it was back in February, and it rained all weekend.  Sad

...There is work needed on the top part of "Old Site" and some hardstands are in need of upgrades (to serviced?)

I've sorted the question of serviced pitches.......there is just one of them! Smile

I guess it's the one next to the upper toilet block. There's a tap on the wall and I guess there must be a drain.

I agree with H&T that the work is probably to provide drainage to some pitches.
