Does anybody know if there is a dedicated list or website that lists CC sites or Cls that are open over the Christmas period or is it the case of look in the book and find out?

You can do a search on given dates, in search and book that will throw up all sites open during the Christmas period. Some sites stay open until the begining of January while others close earlier and other open througout the year.

John, with CL's you can search for those that are open all year by ticking the 12month box. There are at present 1491, so plenty to choose from.Wink There are other criteria you can use to narrow your choise.

    Thanks Nellie.

No problem. Is there a specific area that you want to visit? Do you use CL's and if so what sort of facilities do you require?

We do like Cl's. Devon or Cornwall is the preference. Pardon my ignorance but where is the 12 month box please?

Carnon Downs is the only Club Site open for 12 months, ie over Christmas in the Cornwall and Devon area, but there are quite a few Certificated Locations (CLs) that are open 12 months. Located on A39 between Truro and Penryn. Happy

Log onto the clubs UK Holidays, select Certificated Locations Search, page down, enter the county you require, and then page further down and select the features you want. The open all year round facility is a box with "12" in it.

There are 62 open All year in Devon, and 50 in Cornwall. So still plenty to choose from there.

If you go into the CL page JD, pick your area or County. It will then come up with a list of options such as  CLs with EHU, CLs  with showers, CLs near beaches etc... Shown as little icons. You just click on your preferences. Then press search

A quick way to find open all year sites, click on UK Holidays, then Club Sites, then "open all year" sites, the list is there.

Most are there I think Brue, but unless I am mistaken, I seem to recall seeing one or two that are open over Xmas, but close down for a short while after New Year Holiday? I could be wrong. Given the peculiarities of searching for things on this website,
I would use the good old fashioned handbook to check Club Sites as a first reference point. Seems a tad old fashioned, but sometimes easier!Happy

Best of luck, hope you find one you like. If you come up with  selection to choose from there's every chance that some-one on here has visited them and can give a recommendation or otherwise.

I've just had another look, if you leave the uk sites search choice blank and just put in December as the date of arrival it should throw up all the available sites...well it might be worth a try...Wink

We quite like the look of Wrenwell Meadows. If anybody has been there, it would be nice to hear your opinion. Will phone them tomorrow. Once again thanks all that took the trouble to help.

We were going to Moreton, but cancelled our booking this morning.  I've moved us to Cirencester and we will be there for between Christmas and New Year.

Glad that you've managed to get booked in, John. Hope it meets your needs. It's been recommended on CT in the past and the reviews look good.

Write your comments here...Thanks Nellie. I googled the reviews and it looks just what we need. Looking forward to it. Hope the weather is not too good as I enjoy listening to the wind and rain at night. I just hope Santa's reindeers are secure and under
    cover.
