Hi,

We have booked Blackpool South caravan club site with the intention of visiting Blackpool and Lytham St Annes. As we don t want to use the car much I was wondering how far it is to a local bus stop. If it is to far to walk where we could park car all day(Hopefully
with no charge) and catch a bus from there. Also can you purchase the bus passes on the bus.

Many thanks

Dave

I've stayed at Blackpool S a few times; never used bus. I think you could walk thro' to adjacent ind estate and get bus there. Best to phone site to confirm if this is still possible. I wouldn't advise it at night, as the area around the site is farmland
or industry. Taxi may be the safest and easiest way for an evening out. Daytime, there is direct car route to Blackpool main parking area near to the football ground, 10 mins drive.

15 min walk to hourly service to Blackpool or St.Annes. 25 min walk to Tesco where 10 minute service operates, alternatively leave car there all day. Industrial Estate bus just runs morning and teatime to suit workers. Taxi cab £7-8 to Pleasure Beach, £8-10
to Town Centre. 24 hour bus and Tram pass £5.

You can buy some of the various bus passes on the bus.  The no. 14 bus runs from Peel Park which is next to the site {ask warden to direct you} last bus in the morning is 09.21 which will take you to Blackpool. Last bus back to Peel Park from Blackpool is
around 16.30. Alternatively drive to Tesco and catch either the 14, 3 or 4 bus to blackpool.  Free all day parking near to the Solaris Centre and in either of the two crescents just off the prom near to the large glitter ball on prom...you can then walk along
prom catch a tram or No 1 bus hope this helps.
