Hi everone, Im due to pick up my first Motorhome on the 5th of August. I plan on going to Scotland the following week for my first trip and would like to go to Largs in Ayrshire. Having trouble locating a site to stay on could anyone recommend a site in
Largs? thank you.

We stayed on a CL on the edge of Largs. It was listed under North Ayrshire. Possibly South Whittleburn Farm. I'll try to find it. It was perfectly acceptable and the owner was helpful and friendly. There were other vans in a field adjoining the CL but it
    wasn't a problem.

Ah Largs, brings back memories from a long time ago when on a visit to Scotland I made OH do a 100 mile detour so I could have an icecream at Nardinis.  It was worth it then, wonder if it still is?

if your happy to wildcamp and want some quiet time then I would recommend taking the ferry over to Great Cumbrae.

If the m/h has a long rear overhang then I would advise using the larger ferry as the ramp on the smaller vessel is pretty steep.
