    Yes, we have a spare bottle, David, the comment about takeaways was supposed to be a light hearted throwaway line! Wink

    We just use the small 3.9kg Calor bottles (please, no lectures about what an expensive way of buying gas that is - they suit us in our small van.) The fact that they were sold out was no big issue - it happens - the warden was very helpful in letting us know where we could get a replacement. I didn't mention it as a means of yet another way of criticising club sites and wardens! Sad

    David, it wasn't you I had in mind! Wink We also use gas sparingly, for cooking and that's about it. I jot down the date of purchase on gas bottles
    when we buy them. The one that ran out was bought in August 2014! Laughing
