I vowed I'd never go again lol. Well i won't go in most half terms tho after the troubke 3 years ago.  Mite consider oct half term lol.   What the new Newton bypass like?. How long does it take off the journey?. Where does it start and end?.

Anyone been in Oct half term?.

Have they got new wardens there now?

Thanks

I'm confused. Newton Abbot is not bypassed but Kingskerswell is. It's like .... a bypass. How long does it take off the journey is unanswerable without knowing how long you'd have to queue for if it wasn't there. It's an improvement and that's all you need
    to know really.

I've been on that route and although it doesn't by-pass Newton Abbott you don't have to deal with that busy roundabout anymore and you can pretty much fly through into Paignton. What you save on time not sure really maybe 15 minutes and i have been Oct half
term but about 4 years ago.

The new road will be busy at busy times! But the horrible jams through Torbay, who knows, there is still a lot of traffic in the area. We use the A38 then the Dartington/Totnes/Paignton route. I'm sure October on the by pass will be quieter. Haven't been
at Oct half term (but often go out of season) there is an entertainment programme laid on for the holiday, at other times in the Autumn the restaurant etc open less frequently. Check with the wardens for details.

I've been down the by-pass but not through to Brixham. As has been said, it removes the Penn Inn roundabout but it will always be busy at peak times.
