Just so long as you get the Scone ( which must be pronounced correctly ), the real salt free butter, the strawberry conserve, and clotted cream in the right order Brue.
Absolutely, none of this cream before jam business down here. We does it proper.
Have we answered the OP question? The question asked about roads to Dorset.
Only in the title. In the post it's about touring IN Dorset so I reckon we've dealt with it.

Is that scone with or without fruit? Haven't had butter for 40 years, horrible greasy stuff. One half plain scone with cream on jam, other half fruit scone with jam on cream. Cos of the prices we share 1 each.
Is it jam or cream first on a Dorset Knob?

I've no idea what they do in Dorset but down here we yokels, as you like to call us, would not put jam and cream on a fruit scone. Whatever next!

We're all yokels (although I understand in my case Hampshire Hog) in our home counties, and grockles, emmetts, macans, scousers, scallies and other names elsewhere. All part of the rich heritage of this wonderful country we call home

What heathen would even consider putting cream, even the very best Dorset clotted, on a Dorset Knob?
We do Could be worse, my cousin would put gravy and brown sauce on them, just like with jaffa cakes
